Black with Charcoal (and tar)... got a few memorable rides at Con after the deadly flooding event in 2018. Rides worth an extra 250 miles of driving across the Grapevine to get around the road blocks... bits of tar and Charcoal littered the lineup then, and even again this year leading up to the flooding.. Lots of oil sheen on the water from the 6th-8th before the rains...

"Tom your shaving your head today"...ouch lol. Tom you are a fanstastic sport with a incredible sense of humor. You had me laughing out loud with your quick wit in this hair cut vid. The postive out of shaving your head Tom is, you found out that you can wear any hair style and look great. You guys have what it takes to have a strong happy 60+ marriage...your bond is tight, you make each other laugh and always support each other. ❤ My heart aches for all those that were affected by this massive rain storm. So much heartache the last 3 years for so many. 💔 I think when it comes to plastic...it's not the citizens using plastic that is the issue we dont have a choice...it's the manufactures putting all their products into plastic that is the issues. Our parents & grandparents did not have this plastic issues that we have today because, manufactors used glass and cardboard to package their products. There is to much profit for the manufactors in plastic this is the ultamate problem. We need to stop allowing the evil elite to use "sociopath blame shifting" (look up) and gas lighting abuse (look up) on citizens with the whole pastic issues. my two cents for what it's worth. 💰 Great video Lakey & Tom. take care.

I think he looks great with a shaved head too.... he thinks the opposite. 100% It''s been a rough go for this area with landslides, fires and floods. I 100% agree with you Jan! At this point I am platonically in love with Tom. I shaved my head after growing my hair during COVID, and I regret it. I was so pretty hahahaha. I really liked the work out video, and this is upping the game even more. I liked the other day when you went and saw new boards. Maybe you could talk about the tools of the trade a bit, what makes a good whatever, and then just house stuff. There was this body builder guy who did a video explaining how he buys tupperwear, and it held my attention like the nobodies business.

I had Montecito evacuees at my house (Mesa). I couldn't believe that storm where you guys got 14 inches in a day. We got 8. Glad you and yours are safe. Love the left top turn at Oxnard. Wow! SHRED !!! and yes, Help keep our Mother Ocean pollution FREE.

Fun Video... Good to see that you survived the storms. We did well here in Carp with no damage to speak of. Lots of great beach action all up and down the Cal Coast. I am planning to visit the water up at Fort Point just to see. I hear that the point has been huge of late.

It's been pretty gnarly in town the last few days as you saw. All that run off woke up the bioluminescence around the harbor and mesa which was cool to see at night. Cool to see grandpa Herb again 👍 wasn't it the upper state st. store where he made history?! And good job on the hair chop ✂ Ear and nose plugs and a fast wash afterwards and I'd do that nasty challenge, haha.

I agree about all of the trash but some of what you saw could be people's property swept away by the floods too so accidental. I quit using bags when shopping 8 years ago. I bought a plastic tub that fits my biweekly shopping & just load everything in it. Can sometimes get a little heavy but makes a neat way to keep everything together on the trip home. It's still going strong and can be recycled if it wears out.

Sadly only 5% of all plastics that are put into recycling by the people, actually get recycled. We all put our plastics into recycling, government spends $300 million annually and of all the plastics we all recycle only 5% is actually recycled at that above aforementioned cost. I was just just watching some experts talk about this this morning. They said, literally, if you want your plastic to stay out of the ocean it’s better to throw it away than try to recycle it because since only 5% is recycled, the other 95% of plastics have a greater chance of not being disposed of properly if you were just to throw them into the regular garbage. I think we’ve all been fooled about the realities of lots of things for a long time. There’s been unchecked narratives on many topics for a long, long, time, and sadly, my view now is that there’s a bit of malevolence involved. You couldn't pay me enough to get into that muddy water ... Unless it was firing out there in the surf zone... In which case I'd probably just jump in for free, and take the easy way out to the lineup. Did you see Moana Jones Wong's recent wave at Pipe? She's raising the bar... So if you're gonna take a bet - I want to see you paddling out into some truly scary-big, but totally perfect Pipe or Strand, with a 7'6"-8'0" gun under your arm - looking to match that level of performance. People are calling it Wave of the Winter... I think that's generous, but certainly the top contender, if they were to break down and create a womens' division. Anyways... Psyche up. Charge!

One thing, professional surfers could do to lower their environmental footprint is ride boards made from durable materials. Lightweight poly boards are disposable and very toxic.
