Greetings from Northern Vermont! Going on 25 years using Heated Husqvarna B&C oil with some wax on all external surfaces and ATF, B&C oil, Motor Oil, whatever I have on hand into all INTERIOR enclosed areas like rockers, fenders, doors, pinch welds, inner control arms and other suspension parts. Worked great all these years. Vehicles rust from the inside out so its good to spray thin oils into all enclosed areas in SPRING!! The warmer weather of spring and summer accelerates corrosion and expands all the metal components and allows the oils to "wick". Great videos and thanks for posting.

Hello I’ve used about all the rust proofing products Fluid Film, Woolwax, Waxoyl. Now I’m going to use Surface Shield especially inside the doors , rockers, cab corners, wheel wells. I might even use some Blaster rust buster so it creeps into pinch welds then top off with Surface Shield. It can’t hurt. Nice video

I like what I'm seeing about Blaster SS. All the tests I see are very positive and last for TWO years. I just bought a 2019 Toyota Tacoma pick-up and it has almost NO rust under it and I'd like to keep it that way. So this summer I think I'll be under it spraying Blaster Surface Shield. Thanks for these informative videos.

TIP - I just got feedback from Fluid Film and see the problem some folks are having. In its' resting state, Fluid Film will thicken over time. That's why in some videos it looks like pudding. Unfortunately, most guys are only STIRRING or MIXING the FF with a stick or paddle. That's not vigorous enough to change its' viscosity back to a pourable liquid. I would suggest a paint stirrer that inserts into an electric drill or, better yet, go over to Harbor Freight and buy their paint can shaker for $ 130. If you do your vehicle every year or have multiple vehicles then it would be worth the cost to get the FF back in the most liquid state it can be in so it sprays and covers better. Just my opinion.

I've mixed it with a paint mixer and it makes no difference even at 80 degrees it is still too thick to pour. Even the local shops keep heat tape on there barrels year round to keep it at a sprayable temp.

I tried Blaster last winter on a limited basis/small area under car and seamed to work well. One caviate however - I sprayed inside bottom of door panels as always but this product obviously has more solvents in it and it softened and distororted the rubber door weather stip at the weep hole locations where the material weeped out and layed against it. Not totally melted or destroyed but I wont use in any location in contact with rubber again. Hoses??? Too much a bother to avoid too many things so Im looking at something else this winter. So far over the years, Boeshiels T-9 has worked the best for me but is the most expensive of all the products tried. I have something new that I havnt heard of before that a friend tipped me off to to try this year.

So take a clean mower deck apply the products the that? They dont dry. But you could let it sit for a day or 2. And then what mow the lawn? And see what sticks better? Or just use the hose cleanout port and run the deck that way to see what washes off better? I like the idea.

dude I just ran through the leagal stuff for surface sheild and it is solventless totally safe for the environment isnt that crazy!! I got you dude I just subscribed. I got a can of the surface sheild from harbor frieght the other day because I am having to clean out my wheel wells in 3 different trucks and the rust was just killing me man. I saw this stuff and thought it was just penetrator like the orginal version you know but just will like a rust prevention additive which was like dope. Since I didnt wanna have to do this all again you know... Well I get home and start cleaning and the freaking rust just turned to mud dude like litterally it just bubbled up then 10min later was a black sludge that wipes off!!! its amazing!!! sometimes you gotta use like a hard bristled brush or a metal brush to get it all the way threw and then off cuz the surface sheild wants to stay on the metal you know so it will like hold onto the clumps sometimes and like stick a bit so you cant completely wipe it all off. So yeah you are totally right this stuff is great! and your parts that you didnt get dude all you got to do is spray em like you dont have to wipe it off even it will just like turn the rust into sludge and then when your ready to wipe it off you can but the longer you leave it on the better it looks later... well I mean sort of like sometimes it stops working and then the rust well the rust it didnt get to like if it was thick and it could only surround it.... that rust will show again when you wipe off the surfface sheild sort of like a jaw breaker does when you suck on it then rinse it off ... that was the best example I could think of lol. Well yeah so keep up the videos

realistically. if your trying to protect your 70k$ investment for as long as possible the increased price still puts it within a reasonable price tag... but if your just throwing it on a lawn mower for the winter for just some form of protection a cheaper product will serve that purpose just as well.

I was just on Amazon reading the bucket label for Surface Shield. It states - NON-toxic, LOW VOC, safe, lanolin-based and they've balanced the formula so it can also be considered a lubricant. So there is "some" solvent in it but so is there in many of our daily garage products like BRAKE, CARB, MAF cleaners etc. If the low VOC means that it sprays better then I'm all for it. It's either spray a fine mist or throw pudding at your car. Which do you think will cover and protect better?
