En este video describo en detalle los pasos necesarios para reemplazar la batería que va en el teclado de una Microsoft Surface Book de primera generación. El problema se manifestó a través de la separación de la tapa trasera del teclado producto de la desformaron (hinchazón) de la batería. Ninguna tienda de reparación de Laptops quizo aceptar la Surface Book para repararla por lo que decidí hacerlo yo mismo (DIY - Do-It-Yourself -). Luego de investigar en Internet y ver varios videos en KZread, el procedimiento me tomo aproximadamente 3 horas y la inversión en materiales (batería y herramientas sin incluir el soplador de aire caliente) fue de aproximadamente US$120.

In this video I describe in detail the steps necessary to replace the battery that goes into the keyboard of a first generation Microsoft Surface Book. The problem manifested itself through the separation of the back cover of the keyboard due to the deformation (swelling) of the battery. No Laptop repair shop wanted to accept the Surface Book for repair so I decided to do it myself (DIY). After researching on the Internet and watching several videos on KZread, the procedure took me approximately 3 hours and the investment in materials (battery and tools not including the hot air blower) was approximately US$120.

Hola, cambié mi batería a una nueva y ahora la Surface Pro 6 sólo funciona conectada a la carga. NECESITO AYUDA 😢

Hola, verifica que la batería nueva es reconocida por el sistema. El sistema debe indicar el nivel de carga que tiene y si esta en uso. Si el sistema no reconoce la batería entonces pudiera ser que la nueva batería no quedo bien conectada o que la conexión esta defectuosa. Otra posibilidad menos probable es que la nueva batería vino defectuosa.

Is it possible to open the back cover from the bottom of the keyboard without using a hot air blower?

I don’t think so because the hot air serves to soften the glue that holds the back cover to the PC structure. If you try to remove the back cover without using hot air it is very likely that you will end up deforming or damaging the back cover and other internal and external parts of the Surface Book. You can use a conventional hair dryer to get the hot air needed.

@@ArmandoIzquierdo-AIRvision I only have a hair dryer. How many minutes do I have to heat this rear, lower cover to lightly detach this lower cover from the bottom of the housing of this laptop?

@@marekkowalski3814 the best way is to heat the borders of the back cover moving the dryer back and forth for about a minute (covering just a portion of the cover) then try to separate that specific part and repeat that sequence until that part of the plate start separating. You need to test what is the best heating time that works for you. A lot of patience is needed.

@@marekkowalski3814 It doesn’t have to be very hot. If you hear it too much it could damage the internal parts and you run the risk that the battery could eventually explode!! The best way is to heat the plate with “warm “ air and then work on separating the plate with the separating tool (as shown in the video).
hola una consulta compre una por internet y no me deja desacoplarla como podria saber si esta mala la bateria de la tablet o del teclado?

Si la parte de atrás (base) del teclado está inflada (deformada) entonces la batería dañada es la del teclado. Si la pantalla (screen) está inflada o separándose de su parte posterior entonces la batería dañada es la de la pantalla.

Ninguna de las partes está inflada,esta todo normal ,pero aunque la cargue siempre sale descargada y el teclado ya no enciende la luz y no me da (Una suscriptora nueva ,excelente canal ) 👌

@@cindyg.castillo9423 A lo mejor es un problema menos complejo que cambiar las baterías y probablemente lo pueden reparar en cualquier tienda que repare computadoras. El problema cuando se dañan cualquiera de las dos baterías es que ninguna tienda (o muy pocas) quieren arreglarla porque no dan garantía que quede bien por lo tedioso que es remover las tapas de la computadora y las baterías.
