    There's also a formula for those of you who don't know. This formula is 2*a+b/2*h+(s1+s2+s3+s4)*d that's the formula I use, very easy once you understand it. There are other formulas too. This video taught you by finding the surface area of each face then adding all up for the total surface area. The formula will give you the answer straight away if you do it correctly.

    Jordnfan909 no its squared because its surface area. Volume is cubed

  • @kati3ashl334

    @kati3ashl334

    5 жыл бұрын

    See, the surface area is finding the area of all the faces and adding them together, even though it is 3d you are only finding the area of the FACES, the same way you find 2d shapes that's why it is cubed. And volume is finding the area of cross section and multiplying to the length, right? So it becomes 3 dimensional, making it cubed. Got it???

    this is all wrong. (Ar=6x7 and Al=6x7). both the right and left side is not a rectangle because the top base with the 10M, (the other top side) would actaully be smaller than the 7M making Ar and Al side a trapezoid also.

  • @VividMath

    @VividMath

    10 жыл бұрын

    I understand how you think the answer is wrong. But the answer is correct. The two side panels of a trapezoidal prism are obviously rectangular so clearly the side panels are each A = 6x7 which equals 42m^2. The top side is not smaller than 7m but actually equals 7m
