Really love these vids. Been watching them forever. What i think this channel needs is a good nose riding / walking the log / surfing leash-less and when to do it vid. Theres no vids like that on you tube and i think that would make you guys shine :) -Dawson Mills from long beach, california (just above huntington beach) Btw i try to surf every day and i ride a single fin 9'1" log :)

Newbie surfer question: when I am turning does my back heel have to be flat on the board? I am finding my heel keeps coming up and I am on the ball of my foot?

If on a short board, is the footwork just moving the weight forward after the turn?

Generally on a short board under say 6'6 using the right amount of " lean" can help but never where the front knee goes past the front foot placement. That just slows the board down ..
