That’s pretty awesome! I love the “ it tour typical flashlight” look. I always kind of enjoy a hotspot in the beam, but overall it seems very well balanced out. Having the ability to program in and out features is pretty awesome. Well done brother!

Edit... Looks like a great light, but $200 plus! Na... So, I looked into getting the Pro but decided on the original Stiletto due to more money vs. what you get for upgrades. Just wasn’t enough upgrade to verify huge cost increase.

Definitely like the surefire stuff, but a light without removable rechargeable batteries takes to long to get back into service once you've run the battery down. Currently using a Surefire light that utilizes the 18650 batteries and I carry a couple of those already charged batteries with me at work.

I am flashaholic. 200 plus flights. I have the first version . its the only light I carry as a edc. I work nights and use it every night. its all about the shape,it fits like my knife. flat not round. great light one year in.

I love Surefire products. As far as weapons lights and flashlights go, Surefire is all that I will use. For my weapons light on my every day conceal and carry, I use a Surefire X400 Ultra. It has a green laser and a 1,000 lumen light that produces 11,300 candela light power. With their flashlights, I’m either going to get the Surefire Stiletto Pro or the Surefire Fury DFT. I’m leaning more towards the Surefire Fury DFT though.

But does it take glock mags

For about $15 more you can get the para 3 lightweight and it is essentially the same size, feels lighter and blows the delica away in every way

I really like the Pro and I have about a dozen tactical lights due to being an armed professional. The only thing I feel is somewhat of a waste of space is the program button. It is so large it seems like it could be of use in a different fashion, like a strobe button.

Another main problem you missed. Many were having a problem with the light coming on in the pockets. Did they fix this issue? It looks like the buttons are a little depressed on the pro model.

It'll be great to buy if it's ever released. Ur link is not to the stiletto pro, btw, just the reg. not even up on SF website after being announced over a yr ago

How would you compare the Stiletto Pro to the EDCL2-T? Hard to compare two different flashlights from two different videos, but (after watching both of your videos regarding the two lights), it looks as though the EDCL2-T has a more defined hotspot and greater throw, whereas it looks like the Stiletto Pro is brighter and more wall-of-light (while still having a hotspot).

Wish they'd have used Type-C charging.

I’ve had the original since it’s been out. Love it for EDC, walking the dog at night, and the tactical button Is so handy for picking out anything quick or for night blinding a potential two-Legged threat.

Good review, as always.👍🏻 But that was a long wait for that light... And it only has 1,000 lumens, IPX-7 rating, proprietary non-replaceable battery, and the old micro USB (not Type-C) all for over $200!? No thanks, I'll definitely pass. That's over priced for a 2018 flashlight...

Surefire has traditionally lagged behind other flashlight manufacturers, starting back at the LED "revolution." Even Streamlight is more up to date. And there's a ton of other manufacturers ahead of them. I'm still not sure why people even purchase Surefire lights in this day and and age. Must be their slick-paper catalogs or something (really nice photography in them).

Excellent review thank you and I was like you at first didn't think I would like it that much but carried it a couple days and now it is my favorite carry light. Just wish the Pro to be type C but I still use mini to charge a couple other things so it's not a huge deal.

I've got the original Stiletto and am literally carrying it right now. Love the light...so much better shape for carrying and all the goodness of SureFire.

That was my main question about the shape, which you answered really well. Gonna have to look into one as I've made my own low-profile, ergonomic CCW covert belt. Have you used the Sidekick as well?

@616e6f6e This looks more like a weight-lifters belt. You can wear it under shorts, sweat pants, suits, casual, doesn't matter. I made my last EDC holster like a Crossbread, but AIWB with opposite cant. I wanted a single system I can grab and don without having to reach for or find a bunch of different EDC items. I used to use my holster, Mag Holdrer clip-on pouch, with pocket panel inserts for my EDC light, lighter, pens, 550, and smartphone. Can't do all that if wearing sweatpants or a suit.

Is the link in the actual description for the Pro? Just trying to confirm because on surefire’a site it’s listed for like $230 but on amazon it’s for $112 and doesn’t say “pro”.

The ergonomics on the original sucked, especially with a wet hand if you gripped tightly. Glad to see they addressed that.

you and I disagree on that point … it does me no good to have it comfortably in my pocket only to leap from my hand into the lake over the side of the boat when I need it most. Ive covered it all before, we will just differ in opinion.

I like them both and own the original. My only complaint is that the clip needs to be flipped so the bezel is facing down and not exposed to possible damage/ scratches.

Its gonna be hard to break me away from my EDCL1-T paired with a single LFP123 cell for rechargable EDC duty. Nothing beats the simplicity and the ability to carry a spare cell in case of emergency.

I’ve been rocking the EDCL2-T ever since you’ve reviewed it & I love it especially cuz of the throw but the “form factor” on these Stilettos seem to be the cat’s meow. May have to get this one too now. My first Surefire says “Laser Products” & it’s still working; stuck on a long gun somewhere lol

This seems like a good light, but I'm disappointed that there are only two programmable modes. I would have liked to see options for just low or just low and medium on the side button, while you can still access high on the back button.

does your stiletto pro make any noise? i just got mine in the mail and it makes a rattling noise coming from the head of the light when i move/shake it. is this normal, or do i need to call surefire and bitch about spending 200$ on a flashlight that sounds like a can of spraypaint?

I have so many LED flashlights, Surefire, Olight, Thrunite, etc. But I just cannot get behind a strictly rechargeable flashlight due to feeling unprepared in the event of total discharge. I keep batteries (rechargeable and non-rechargeable) everywhere as i feel more prepared having it that way. Am I alone on this?

I broke my Stiletto in my pocket yesterday. Polymer body broke where the head screws in on both sides. Surefire gave me an RMA# for repair but I think I'm going to upgrade to the pro so it doesn't happen again.

I've never heard of Candella as a unit of measure. Did you make that word up? I've used many light meters withe several units of measure. Did you mean Candle Power? I'm always willing to learn something new.

no, it's a standard metric

When you only have 1 flashlight, no way to charge or no batteries - 5 lumens is the bomb. No flashlight can beat a low lumen setting in a survival situation. Except for my crank flashlights.

The program button is almost pointless. I’ve had mine for awhile now and have only ever used it when I first bought it. Not a bad light but not my favourite for the money. Great video though.

It's my belief that people who consistently try to bash a certain product, are just trying to justify the fact that they spent more for less. It's like dudes who claim glocks are trash simply because they went out and spent a fortune on a highly tuned 1911

Problem with flashlights is the same as computers and cell phones. Something better is always coming out after you buy something. Given the cost of it, it isn't in most people's budget to always be upgrading. Besides, these quality LED lights will be just as good today as they will be 20 years from now (assuming you can still get the batteries). The internal battery for this is a bit of a con. Down the road, you may not be able to get a charger for it and the battery won't be able to hold much of a charge. It took me 10 years to upgrade my single cell 123 surefire. It wasn't a significant enough of an improvement to justify the cost but I needed an extra light at the time.

It's a micro USB cable, not proprietary. Easy to find, even if it's not as common as USB-C or whatever next gen cable comes out

Great job again. Just my two cents here. I am extremely hard on everything. Extremely hard. Two overpriced surefire lights and both broke. Surefire took care of me right away on the first one. Sent replacement part right out. Second one , they forgot about me. No big deal though. That was around 4 years ago. I have used streamlight carry lights and headlamps for years. Never one problem. Ever. At least half the price. Surefire is overpriced period. I get it , shit cost money to do things at a company. I own a few. I’m just saying. Just like I always said about pmags and ars. I know what shut cost to produce. I get it. You have to make money. But 500 bucks for a light is rediculous. But we live in a free world , where we get to choose on wether we make the purchase. That's the original stilleto. This pro version has reversible clip (so lens isn't sticking out of top of pocket with wide part on top), and recessed buttons.

Type C is better but not necessary for this small of a battery.

Horrid review! You didn’t address the top 4 gun guy couch operator questions. Does it take glock mags? Can I mount it on a glock? Can I mount it on a AR? Can it be suppressed? Real talk this was a good review, thanks!

Only IPX 7 and micro USB are a big con. Those types of ports are no good. Other than that the size and shape are interesting, the light color and pattern seems to be very good. I like polymer though but I understand that you need mor heatsinking aluminum to increas output and runtimes. It is a tradeoff.

That's what you call a "keep up with the Jones" flashlight! I'm out.

Great review, but the bottom line is, this Surefire is a way overpriced throw away flashlight. Once again Surefire has missed the mark on this one.

Surefire has committed the grave sin of Olight, non-replaceable battery. How many discharges until this becomes a $200 paperweight?

Holy cow I think these flashlights are getting ridiculously priced. Obviously if you need something for self-defense purposes or your job such as law enforcement where size does matter I understand the higher price but manufacturers are getting ridiculous $89 for the polymer and $229 for the Pro it's a huge Spike

I like the shape but the battery situation is a deal breaker for me. First it's 2019 and every light should be capable of running on both primary and/or rechargeables. There is no reason to make a light that doesn't. And secondly, I've got to have the ability to swap in a fresh battery. With that light you are truly limited to its initial run time. "Oh...my battery just died. Guess I'll run all the way home to get a whole other flashlight. Now if I could just find my way out of these woods...in the dark...with a dead flashlight."

No way... the days of the $200 + flashlight are over, at least for me. Not suggesting it's not a good light, but there there are many good lights for 1/4 that these days... just saying! For whatever reason, SureFire still doesn't get it... I buy several... well maybe more than several (I need help) LED Flashlights a year... not a single one is SureFire... although I do own several from years back... but honestly they live in the drawer, never use them, but today there are so many other choices that represent a much better value... and are really good flashlights. As someone else said previously Hard NO!

@@ChosMan16 Most of my stuff says Olight on it, although I do also have some streamlight... all have been rock solid reliable. I haven't purchased a Surefire product and years, and have no plans to do so.

Best EDC flashlight?? No, that flashlight has not yet been made. But it`s good, but expensive, and almost impossible to get here in Norway.

I remember when Surefire used to own the LED market, but they failed to innovate and failed to be price competitive. Olights, Nircore, Fenix, Klaurus etc. all make much better lights now at a fraction of the cost of Surefire. Surefire is dead in my opinion.

Olight & Thrunite: The best bargains on Earth. Give Thrunite a shot as they've been around longer and offer way more options; especially for standard AA and AAA batteries as well as all of the "exotic" batteries. Olight copies them. Check out some reviews: Thrunite 10N4A is amazing. I should seek help for my flashlight problem, though. Cheers!
