That is an awesome jackshaft rebuild. I just redid my jackshaft with some fancy ball bearings and realized that the jackshaft is very susceptible to any misalignment or overtightening. Seems like a very poor design decision from the Surron company. I wish I could do a total rebuild like yours. But alas, I don't have the time or equipment to do so. Really cool video though. Thanks for putting this out there. You really know your shit when it comes to bearings and their loads. And you ended up with a really cool setup.

Awesome “your an angel” brotha👌lol, It took me 4wks to change my bearings after I’d had my bike for 5 months “it was a pain in the asse”🤯lol!! I’ve had to change the bearing’s in swing arm + jackshaft 3 times in 18 months and after 100-200 miles that god damn clicking noise always comes back on the left side!! Thanks again butty🇺🇦🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

So any progress with this? This "Belrin black" you are talking about - OK, it fixes the metal-on-metal problem but I think there will be a lot of squeaking sounds from it. I've seen a similar product used for bushings from polyurethane - they start squeaking the moment the grease wears off.

Only down side to this is now you have to take the swing arm off to change the belt, might do it anyway as I don't break my belts very often (only 2 times in 15000 km hard enduro)

How do you think the swingarm sleeve bearings will hold up with use? Will the swingarm sleeves be able to withstand big hits and heavy offroad use? Would it destroy the new jackshaft bearing system if the swingarm sleeves failed or damage the swingarm?

well my friend im not reinventing the wheel, i just took these ideas from other moto x bikes i have repaired in the past. The bushings im going to put in the swing arm are commonly used in automotive applications and are much more durable than the ball bearings used in the swing arm now. As far as the swing arm bushing failing and destroying the swing arm, im pretty sure you will notice allot of slop in your suspension before the jack shaft bearing ever feels any pain.

i feel your pain my friend, luckily my ocd will not stop until this jack shaft is very happy. The time it takes to make sure this set up is bullet proof is all we need to endure. still waiting on my thrust bearings to install the revised version of the work already completed. stay tuned !

been beating the hell out of my mod and it seems to hold up very well. I refuse to send out something that does not solve the problem. Sorry for the delay but like Ernest and Julio gallow. i shall sell no wine before its time. Im tooling up to do 100 kits and should have them ready by the end of the year.@@standeman32

hi matt, if i can get the inner race sourced we will have a swing arm kit but i want to proof out the final set up first just to make sure im not sending out a flawed kit. It will be a month or so before i get these started. I also need to get several peg kits sent out. I was not prepared for the people asking for parts, my shop is doing other projects and is not in need of more business but it seems people need help so im going to do a run for both my peg set up and my jack shaft swing arm kit. I will do a video as soon as the parts are done and available.

I’m getting a custom swing arm sent out soon so the bike will be apart within a few weeks. I ordered a few parts for part of the gearing and replacement stuff but the jackshaft I was going to get the jackshaft from Luna for 45 bucks BUT if I could get bearings or something my better that’s what I want to do

Do you think there’s any chance you bent your swingarm? I’m trying to find the fix for the clicking on mine. But I don’t know if I should be preparing for a new swingarm..

This is the most irritating thing for me with this bike.... These midshafts only last like 1 week for me... I have 3 midshafts... The Original... a replacement and then the technicq-emx Gen 2 one (which I haven't put on yet). Hope this would fix it...

@@keijahproductions i have 3 shafts.. My org. another OEM.. and then a Gen 2 shaft from technicq-emx... Goto that site to see what I'm talking bout... When I replaced with another OEM it definitely worked... But soon comes back... Unfortunately after installing I had a truck hit me and haven't rode my bike sense last June-July... I'm waiting for this case to get done to repair my bike. I've tried changing the bearings to some better ones... That is the one thing I hate on this bike... Not able to be stealthy... I've had issues with both a belt and chain on both primary and secondary areas... Hope this helps.. Btw, I haven't tried the Technicq-emx Gen 2 shaft yet... At the time I was looking into any flaws with the part.. Good site for little odd parts for a Surron tho..
