Even if you do that, when you remove the wrap or CPF after 10 years or so you'll take the paint with it...

I'm glad you are doing the radio, not matter what car music is always good. Gets you relaxed or in the mood for some spirited driving. Always better to have one and press mute when you don't want to hear it than be on a 4hr ride only listening to highway drone. =)

Good to see this Supra back to life! great job Trev, eager to finish mines. Just got it out of the shop after paint.

those alpine speakers are great, but would sound even better if you sound damped area around the speaker adapter. you dont need alot. i would of also put some speaker gasket material too on the speaker adapter area touching the metal and the speaker basket. you get better midbass response and less rattle on the door harness and other metal parts.

I really enjoyed watching this build pick back up. Can’t wait to see it finally finished.

Great update. I really do like Ty's camera skills.. He does well.

Thank God you didn't put that Wal-Mart special in, that Kenwood is a nice unit, make sure you play video's and movies on it, you have a little girl and she'll want to watch movies while your driving, just turn off the stereo if the police ever want to pull you over. I have to change my Radio this coming January, that Kenwood looks great.

A crimped connection is superior to a soldered connection but I like to use the butt connectors with shrink ends to protect the wire from breaking off. Also Dynamat door kits do wonders for sound and will eliminate those rattles in the door

Brad Hughes Back when i did my original ASE testing we had to make a simple circuit board with led's. When i wired in the power source my teacher informed me that you are less likely to have voltage drop with a crimp than with a soldered connection which was a big surprise to me so that's what I've always trusted

No wonder the odor gets inside..the mode is the aircond should be inside cools, not from the outside air. The car mode is outside air intake, and not inside air intake.

Esko03 use nason products made by axalta aka DuPont. Cheap , very forgiving when fixing mistakes and has a awesome finished product.

we use 4th demention right now and it's all right base. but we use Finnish clear and it always needs 3 coats. last I knew 3 coats of clear was too many

Trevor can you take a moment and take a knee to all the weekend heroes that have ripped out there stereo units to upgrade and destroyed the wiring harness based on you saying it was easy to upgrade. "the wiring is easy" rip to all the fallen head units broken connectors and blown fuses. ☺
