Supporting Older Saws...Talked About 200 Series Husqvarna's & Jonsereds
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Have a TYPO! Called the Jonsered 625 a 925...SORRY! It was getting late.
A day on the farm. Ran some of the ones that usually aren't the first choice...but cut wood just the same. Discussed the collector part of the hobby a bit, and the rapidly shrinking OEM parts availability....After market parts are becoming more relevant an even sometimes the only path to complete a saw...

I love the variety of saws showcased here, thanks for doing this.
I finally figured out what the purpose of the cookies are... Then I stumbled upon this vid where you actually explained it... Another great vid Walt. Keep up the good work...
this scenery is beautiful and encouraging now that cold temps and winter snow has set in here in MN!
every saw has a happy spot with the chain, the rakers and the wood you have to adapt your saw chain to the wood
You 2 are cool!!! Love the talk show👍👍
Super Video! Looks like a Nice day in the Timber!
great video walt, i was waiting for that one.Take care MJ
At the end of the day any of these saws, including the clone 360 will fill the truck at the end of the day and isn't that what it is all about? We all have our favorites but I would run any of these to get some wood. Be safe guys this was a nice video.
such a good video !!!!!!! really enjoy subscribing for sure !!! i love my chainsaws i keep one in my toolbox in my truck everywhere i go , ive got an original stihl ms 290 farm boss that is like having a good dog that will never let me down its been my best friend for life here in north east texas on lake of the pines !!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for this I been missing ur videos
I like the old 200 saws! As you said the parts are getting had to find, unless you are talking about a 272 or late model 61. I haven't seen a lot of cylinders around that don't require any molestation of the top covers for the 266. I have found that the two piece coils are more readily available. I don't think it is selfish to hold onto parts that support saws that you own.

As far as I know. The 272 and 61 are still being sold in some parts of the world. Thanks to that there are still parts available. 353 ans 365(65.1cc version) is also one of those. Brazil husqvarna site shows them for sale.
Looks like one of those road dept mowers with the mower on the arm on the side would be handy...I'm not too fond of limbtrimming...
My favorite is ol 285
the crankshaft and the connecting rod is okay, not overheated,I would like to put a new piston, cylinder.
talking about a short window of carb adjustment, I have a 034 super and it takes the slightest turn to make rich or lean, quite hard to get perfect, do you think a carb kit would help.

no..it just is that way for that saw
254 262 above average performers. 266 268 272 average. 362 371 372 576 above average again
BTW it was a Jonsered 625 NOT 925! A typo in the video saw no 5
Thanks for the video's. I have a Husqvarna mo 51 with low hrs. of operation. It has been extremely hard to start ( pull and turn over) ever since new many years ago. There is no compression release on the saw. Is this common and is there an easy cure? Once you ca pull it over hard enough it starts and runs fine. A real arm breaker though. Thanks.

Hello! I have rebuilt a few 51/55 Husqavarnas. Check the fuel line and filter first[or replace] then check the impulse connection at the partition wall and cylinder. Bob on this video, sells replacement parts. Ashoken turf and timber. Google it for contact info. Also Walt, has a Great video explaining this problem. Check it out! Good Luck!
hello have you ever had a farmertec 660 Crank break on the flywheel side . I've had 5 of these and no problem like this .

New spark plug cap?
Tecomec good company if you put on a saw Husqvarna 254xp? piston and cylinder.
I got a free saw (Poulan Pro) that I still have yet to identify. I love watching you guys talk about messing with old saws which made me interested in working on mine. I have discovered that the PP I have had some parts in common with some Huskies. Do you know anything about this? My saw looks like a PP260 but I don't think it is.

Husqvarna owns Poulan. For a while Husqvarna marketed (Jonsered too) Poulans in the Home owner market segment..the 40cc and under $250 dollars market. So yeah, Craftsman, Husqvarna, Jonsered, MacCulloch all have had their wrappers on the Poulans in that size and price range.

afleetcommand so did they just take a Husqvarna and make it cheaper or is it an independent design with some husky parts?
@afleetcommand
7 жыл бұрын
Independent design with their own parts. Just different plastic and stickers for the different marketing channels or brands
I was given a 162se and I can't seem to find any parts. can you help ?

They don't want you to be able to fix them okay they would rather sell you a new saw

OEM top ends are no longer available where I am. Tecomec makes pretty good stuff. Also there was a Cross Performance 254 top end that looked pretty good. They have a web site. Also HLSupply sold them as well.
