Supply and demand in 8 minutes

I made this video to give you a quick overview of supply and demand. I cover the law of demand, law of supply, shifters of demand and supply, shortage, surplus, and changes in equilibrium. I go pretty quick so watch the entire video first before you try to take any notes. Also, be sure to practice, practice, practice. Thanks for watching. Good luck in your econ class.

Thank Jacob I was really struggling to understand supply and demand curves applications your video was so refreshing it breaks it down to its small detail whereby I could understand It. For two weeks I was trying to get the concept through reading my text book watching countless videos all of them just confused me even further I so happen to see your title 8 minutes you can learn about supply and demand and I was about to ignore it, I said another person just saying this because the want you to click on their video well you proved me wrong it did exactly what you set up to achieve. Now I can approach my homework with more confidence that is due tomorrow. Now you have me falling in love with economic. Thank Jacob.

3:41 in, this is the best video yet Iv'e watched about the topic. only thing i'd adjust so far, is explicitly state that supply regards PRODUCERS, and demand regards CONSUMERS, even though it seems obvious. This therefore assumes there is a middle man.

For the longest time I had the misconception that the higher the quantity supplied, the higher the COST needed to produce all those goods. (3:24) Hearing this explained in the perspective of the seller wanting to produce more quantity if the price is higher to make profit makes more sense. I guess I'm just awake this time or something but it clicked and I finally realized that it's PRICE to Quantity not Cost to Quantity.

Very nice video.! I was wondering about a different topic around Supply and Demand. For the past 10 years i've been playing a game called World Of Warcraft. A common issue with the game is that people playing it need "GOLD", a currency that exists in the game. To acquire this currency, players have to spend time and effort into a spesific kind of gameplay that most don't prefer. Over the many years that this game is around, there are people selling "GOLD" in return for real life money. To avoid that, the company has marked this transaction as illegal and basically punish players by temporarily make players unable to play the game to even permanent punishment. The hot topic around this issue is who's at fault. Players who seek out illegal means to get gold or people selling them. For years i've wanted to buy gold but i'm scared of the consequences, so i've always been of the opinion that people selling are at bigger fault than those eager to buy. Any opinions around who's at fault in a problematic Supply and Demand situation ?

Hi! Quick question: the left and right shifts seems to have a vertical element…is this so that it can fit on the graph or is it accurate? For example supply left shifts @4:15 due to taxes. Is that left and up? Also, I was trying to show my roommate how the supply of iPhones would drastically lower should all manufacturing be brought to the U.S. due to the astronomical rise of labor costs. How would that fit here? A shift to the left under price of resources?
