I've been recommending your channel to anyone who wants a bit of fun in their news. You're respectful of serious matters, but you are a man whose day has come, and it's heartwarming.

It doesn't seem like rocket science to me that any ship that turns off it's AIS is Russian owned, any ship that is racing towards Vladivostok is Russian owned, any ship that goes black is Russian owned - any ship that is suddenly sailing in such a way that they can get to Russian controlled land is Russian owned.

I don't know if you would want to do this on your main channel as it isn't really superyacht related, but as a former naval officer, it would be very interesting if you did a video on how you see the naval war going (ships being destroyed, potential Russian assault on Odessa, movements of Western ships/closing of the Bosporus). We hear about the land war all the time and how the Russian military seems out of touch, but it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the naval side as well.

You were a naval officer; so can’t the US Navy or some joint group go to UAE and take that one yacht? Sink the damned Iranian escort of it’s still around. Shouldn’t it be impounded? Or is it really up to the UAE to allow it?

@@Barefoot433 If the yacht is in international waters or the waters of a foreign sovereign nation the US would not have the authority to act against it without potentially facing international criticism or potentially starting a war. Sinking an Iranian navy ship would undoubtedly even further damage the US-Iranian relationship which has been rocky since the 80's. It's not worth those consequences or effort to claim possession over a vessel that carries no strategic or tactical value to the Russian military or Putin's regime. If the US was planning on actually entering the war, choosing a superyacht as the alpha strike target would be a very poor choice.

I’d be interested to learn more about the cost of moving one of these boats 5k to 6k miles. I realize that money is not real to these owners but I imagine that running these boats full speed for hours on end is really expensive.

A bit of old anchor chain always comes in handy (from experience surviving hurricanes in the BVI).

Er, I think either I misunderstand what the slash is intended to mean, or you have a conversion error. 33°F is 0.55...°C, whereas 23°C is 73.4°F. At any rate, yesterday it had a high of 4°C, today it's forecast for 5°C, and the warmest it's forecast to get in the next two weeks is 8°C.

What do you mean helicopter companies? These yachts own the helicopters and the pilots stay on the ship as part of the crew.

I live in Maine just on Passamaquoddy bay, at the mouth o the St Croix river, and across he bay is Canada. I live near a town called Eastport and another called Machias, both fishing towns, and Eastport has a deep water harbor. I thought I might have a Russian superyacht sighting for you. I was at the local diner, frequented by our lobster fishermen, and it was a foggy morning. They were saying they saw a superyacht, presumably Russian, motoring through the fog, fog seems to make boats seem larger than they are. However, it turned out that it was in fact a new scallop dragger boat that old Vern and his boy had just bought. To hear them talk about all the bells and whistles she has you'd have thought it was a superyacht. Happy April fools day everyone.

While I hate to see the UK crew potentially being without work but I am in complete favor of any actions that can cause disruption to the Russian Oligarchy lifestyle which in turn can possibly lead to the end of Russian aggression in Ukrain and possible regime change. Thanks for the reporting.
