The ending of the film hinted at Sinestro becoming a villain so if the filmmakers decide to do a sequel, then, technically we already have a recurring villain in Sinestro since he's getting the Darth Vader treatment. Plus, none of the main villains in X3 really died and even though they lost their powers, the movie showed that the cure is only temporary.

Yeah and hopefully they will have the guts to push forward and try to get better results. The Rise of Sinestro as a bad guy would make a great movie, that could even be the subtitle: The Rise of Sinestro :)

I think the movie should have focused only on Hammond, and leave Parallax for another film. Spider Man 3 has already proved that too many villains spoil the soup. Thanks for the video.

Hector Hammond was so poorly done in the film its kinda like Bane in 1997's Batman & Robin. Turning a genius into some loser

Yeah, I saw the ending, and it was kinda cool, but it pissed off a lot fans of the series. I didn't mind it, and now I'm looking forward to a sequel. I just hope they do better than the first one. Like I said, X3 movie wasn't good, but the ending more than made up for it, because of the shock. The professor is not completely gone, and the cure is temporary. That's why I think it's better.

I love Green Lantern, especially Green Lantern Hal Jordon. I like Hector Hammond. I love Ryan Renolds. That being said, I hate the Green Lantern movie.

@MrCreepshow09 well the Marvel version of the leader is superior. lol at least Leader has a supervillaineous name, AND Hugo weaving being Hugo Weaving is just awesome, he always gives his chracters that little bit of charm which makes em cool, Shaw was ok - he's not that big of a villain in the comics anyway

using facts and stats count as reasons. you want some more? fine. Loki is a more realistic villain, we actually get to see his progression to evil rather than just being told he is rejected as a son. We see him as a force for good fighting along side his brother which makes their fight mean more at the end rather than some other persons son. He was the main antagonist in Thor rather than a side villain thats overshadowed by an ominous death cloud thats fear personified. good enough for you?

Is there a supervillain origins with the leader or abomination or absorbing man they are 3 of marvels A-list supervillains well 2 of them anyway. I already know the origins.

i did not know that it was ah villain named Prometheus i just know of the movie

I know the movie was crap but I think compared to the Hammond in Secret Origins that the movie was so much better. The movie showed Hammond was self-conscious and judged and disliked by many who thought him plain creepy, and I think the relationship with his dad also did more to explain his slip into evil whereas in SO its just kind of like "He's a rich asshole....and then evil".

I hate when they do that. Recurring villains are more fun, and they keep the story going. I also hated when they did that in X3. The Last Stand. But I think both of the endings made up for the films flaws. Green Lantern poorly establishes the relationship between Hal, Hector, and Carrol. They hinted at it, but I didn't know until the 3rd time I saw it! All I'm looking for is a little continuity. Don't blow your whole wad at once.

@RyouuichiKun15 he's DC comics version of"the leader", and im a fan of GL & incredible hulk comics... but the GL movie ended being too short and they made hector a biotch...the RED skull was just hardcore hugo weaving, and i'm not a fan of him... kevin bacons version of sebastian shaw was the best comic book movie villain of the summer IMO.

Interesting that Hal's mechanic is referred to as Thomas and not "Pieface" as Thomas was referred to during Hammond's introduction. FYI, "pieface" is a derogatory name for Asian people. :(

The movie really fucked it up. I couldn't believe they killed Hector in the first movie! Green Lantern is a perfect example of how Hollywood takes something good, and fucks it up with product placement and a crow bared soundtrack of pop songs. Aside from that, the acting was terrible and the CGI was lame. Next time get a FILM DIRECTOR to do the film, not some hack writer from "No Ordinary Family."

I liked the movie. So what if more of it happened on Earth than in space. Special effects aren't cheap and believe it or not there a lot of people who don't like movies that take place in outer space besides the stakes are much higher when the lives in danger are human and the planet is Earth with places we recognize. Who cares if some made up world is going to get destroyed? It doesn't have the emotional connection. People just need to get over it already. :)
