The same happened to Tatum a few years ago. Media is building players up to fail. Once he faces failures it will happen to him too. Also both players have a very strong supporting cast around them

At least they got one thing in common they both are inconsistent when it comes to their points, but they’re both great players without a doubt

It’s jarring because at the same age Ant is better statistically. But in terms of capabilities, JT clears. Better defender, better playmaker. (Honestly he’s a better score just with worse shot selection). However Ant is younger and leading a team. Not to say Ant ain’t great, but JT when he’s hot will go for 60 and Ant ain’t there yet

Also stop comparing him to Michael Jordan even he said not to do that

Just because a a player has first option talent, doesn’t mean they have first option mentality.

tatum has melt down 4-5 times in the playoffs this is the reason people are not counting on him. He is 26 too. Ant is 22 and this is the ffirst time people has some expectation from minesota to win it all. Not to mention some part is also bias.

Dude Tatum was in the conference finals when he was 19 so wat mean and at the age of 22 he made it to the conference finals and was averaging 26 points in the series against the Heats this is Ant first conference finals at 22 😂😂.Ant young I get it but the praise that he been gettin lately is crazy when has had 4 games straight where he played terrible and got carried Tatum dropped 36 and still was criticized 😂😂😂

@@Nickabob45 the thing is nba is always narrative driven. Jokic won the first MVP when he was 5th seed. Then next time he was higher seed he got his second and then 3rd. I promise you if OKC was 6th seed this season. Shai would have gotten MVP because of THe carrying label he would be getting would be insane. As we are progressing into newer seasons, The NBA is more focused on giving MVP to single superstar who carry the team on his back. Its infuriating. And long gone the days where only 1 superstar can take you to the finish line.
