I was so confused when a guy here said “why do we need to include politics” cuz I was wondering how politics could fit in a 45 second video of a supernova collapsing

Yup, eventhough I replied to that comment, it's nice creating some kind of debate as more comments = more views, politics should stay away. It's in our nature to fight for stupid things anyway.

@DarkDarkVoid if it's a supernova, it can only be a neutron star (1.5 to 2.9 solar mass) or a black hole (greater than 3 solar masses). A white dwarf will form from a star with less than 1.5 solar mass. It doesn't become a supernova. It simply becomes a nebula from the red giant slowly expelling its outer shell of gas, leaving behind a bright nuclear residue of mostly carbon and oxygen called the white dwarf. All stars become red giants when it runs out of fuel but above 8 solar masses, it's considered a red super giant. Above 1.5 solar masses, the star that turns into a red giant when it starts running out of fuel becomes a supernova.

Part of me fears the idea of this ever happening to us, but then part of me hopes I get to see something like this in my own lifetime. That feeling of "If I'm going to die anyway, I at least want to witness the end of our planet." It's weird how the human brain works when confronted with something so much more significant than our own entire existence. 😮
