Just ordered nomad a few days ago and I'm new with supernote. Found your videos in the groupe and you're a life saver for me here. Though there are many reviews on supernote, rarely any of those gets into details of the features and use cases. Thank you for making these videos, they are making me be more desperate for the nomad, can't wait to start using that

I agree not being able to hand write on the daily calendar is a pain for the exact reasons you mentioned. I don’t link my work calendar to my Supernote bc of corporate device access restrctions to my outlook, and I don’t always want to take the time to create a calendar invite. If I’m just looking at my day from a high level, I’d like to just be able to jot down important meetings and thrown my kids pizza party at school on there when I sit down to my desk each morning. I hope they consider it! And the linking to notes from calendar! Loving your videos so please keep it up!

I have asked support and they have mentioned that handwriting on the daily calendar will be supported in June/July .

The weekly view has a lot of wasted space, since the day blocks don't actually show you anything. It would be better if the week was formated to only be about an inch tall across the top of the screen and the rest of the display, was used to display the selected days schedule as a column. In a two column format the lower right area might be usable to display the meeting agenda fir any meeting selectedin the left hand column, or tab or swipe to display meeting notes again for a meeting selected in the left hand column. Double tapping a meeting agenda or meeting note might let you edit in full page mode.

These are great suggestions. And could maybe be configurable options. However, since this is a writing device, you don't want to only focus on using it like a digital Calendar, but also as you would use an analog calendar in a digital space. I can see people filling those blocks with handwritten notes, just like they would a print calendar.

Superb stuff. I have just gotten back to pen and paper writing (after years of being digital only) and am seriously considering the Supernote Nomad (although I am not sure I will stick to writing!). Thank you for your thoughtful and flattering comments. I would say that if you like the feel of pen on paper, but want to still live in the digital space, e-ink is the way to go. The only thing I would say is that there are a lot of devices and you should pick the one best for you. For me, that was the Supernote A5X, and will probably be the A4X2 when it comes out. I really want a full pad of paper replacement. I have seen others successfully use the Nomad in landscape though and it appears to work well. Thanks again for watching!

@@Change-1820 That is precisely my thought as well. I do not want to lose the convenience of search, especially. I typically carry around a smaller notepad so the size should be ok, I guess. I have seen the remarkable, the scribe and some others but the supernote seems to be the sort of goldilocks of simplicity and features. That plus the general ethos of the company - replaceable battery; going to open source the back and cover designs to enable DIY and third party accessories, and the fact that almost everyone universally has good things to say is what is swaying me in that direction.

I will follow your channel while I wait for the Supernote A4X2 to be available.

Thank you for your comment. I am very excited about the A4X2. There was a little bit of an adjustment for me going from an A4 notepad to an A5 device and I still wouldn't go back but a larger Supernote would be ideal.

Thanks for you for putting together this content. I saw your video with Kit and liked & sub’d. I am knee deep into the apple ecosystem but I am looking for that distraction free e-ink device. Something that sync’s with iCal for my calendar would be perfect.

Thanks for the comment and kind words. Personally, I have only ever linked a Google or Outlook calendar so I would be careful to make sure that Apple's version is supported. I would recommend contacting Ratta directly or throwing the question out on the Supernote Reddit to see if anyone has tried an integration. Thanks again.

I greatly appreciate your videos on using the supernote...I have a specific question that I would like to see if you can answer....I want to know if there is a way to identify items in my notes (e.g. - adding a star) and then have these items "auto collect" in a folder or document. So envision I am taking notes in a meeting...some of the items I am capturing are "to do" items...as I move from meeting to meeting, I am capturing various "to dos"...I desire to see all of the various "to do's" auto collect in a folder that I set up to capture To Do's for a specific day or perhaps for the entire week... Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for the comment. I will have to do some thinking on this and maybe put together a video. As of now, I do not know of a good way to collect and export this. The stars are searchable and take you to the page, but do not really serve as a more traditional to do list. The same is true of keywords, and to a lesser extent Headings within a document. I saw a recent reddit post from Supernote that a to do function is in development. Currently, I transfer this to my phone or computer after meetings. I wish I could be more helpful in the moment. Maybe someone else has a better answer.

Unfortunately if anything this convinced me that the calendar is not usable as a work agenda. It appears to me that the hyperlinked note functionality with titles and keywords is still he most compelling functionality.

Thanks for the comment, and sharing your thoughts. I don't see it as unfortunate, only informative. I think for some, it would work quite well but the power of the platform is that you can structure it and engage in so many different ways.

is it possible to access the calendar using the Supernote App on your mobile phone while on the road (without carrying the Supernote with you)? I‘m not talking about accessing the Google Calender, but the handwritten content on top, e. g. on the monthly view

Thanks for the comment. Right now, the answer is no but it is on the roadmap to include a handwriting calendar. What would be exceptional is if the Supernote Calendar allowed the Google integration with the handwriting across the device, mobile, and desktop apps.

How do you access the calendar? I have an A5X and can’t find it. I’ve swiped the right pull down bar and neither a calendar or email option appears. I can’t find it anywhere.

Thanks for the comment. I would suggest looking under settings-apps-Customize Sidebar. It could be that they are hidden.

I have been trying to figure out how to get the keyboard to disappear in the calendar and for it to recognize my handwriting like it does in your video. See 7:07--any suggestions? Thanks!

Some of the the items on my Google calendar disappear from my supernote calendar when I change colors on the Google calendar. Do you know why that is or how to fix it?

Thanks for the question. If you are using a merged calendar, Supernote only supports one calendar connection at a time. If that is not the issue, I would suggest sending feedback through the Supernote with the logs.

Hi. I'm a prospective supernote buyer. I would link it to Outlook. If make an entry in the Supernote calendar would I then see that entry and any note with it on Outlook on my PC? Thanks.

Thanks for the comment. The description and anything in the details for the event would show. However, no notes from the Supernote device itself would be visible. I hope that is answering your question. Since note files are proprietary, I am not sure how they would make that integration happen. That being said, I have heard they are working on a calendar interface for the Supernote desktop app that could potentially combine the device attributes and the information pulled from 3rd party calendar apps. Thanks for the comment and question. I am not sure that you can actually close it but you can navigate away from it. It may automatically close. It doesn't show under the app store. I would suggest reaching out to Supernote through feedback.

You should be able to find it on the quick access menu when you swipe the sidebar. If not, you will need to enable it in the settings-apps-Customize sidebar

Can you link the calendar to google calendar?

Yes, you can connect to Google or Outlook. It only supports linking one calendar, but multi-calendar support is on the roadmap.
