Brilliant story read by an excellent reader - thank you 🌻
Great reading! Evocative indeed.
This was the story of my first old time radio drama, about 42 years ago.

January 1890: "The Ring Of Thoth" by (later Sir) Arthur Conan Doyle is published. Includes line " *Carter* will be waiting for us at the Palais Royal," ( 5:08 ). November 1922: Howard *Carter* discovers tomb of Tutankhamun. Coincidence? *I think not* Conan Doyle was clearly a witch

The tale of Tutankam is ingeniously constructed.

Thank you. Most enjoyable.
Another great reading, with a great style. Thank you.
I so enjoy your readings of these great, unknown (to me), short stories. Just the right length & the perfect accompaniment to enforced lockdown. Many many thanks.

Doyle's supernatural stories are woefully underappreciated.
Wonderful reading. Doyle gives this Egyptian a lot more personality than he did the one in Lot 249.
What more can I say ...well read as always

@@sherlock_holmes_magpie_audio Indeed! I think I once heard a recording of you reading the King James Bible. If it was you, it was beautiful. Do you do other classics? Some Thomas Hardy would be nice.
Conan Doyle was always a great story teller and in many ways underrated on other works outside Sherlock Holmes like this one! Is a wonderful world that Doyle have left for has to enjoy and will never be forgotten.

Yes. He could create an atmosphere and rachet up the tension with a few strokes of the pen. That plus a vivid imagination and an insatiable interest in a multitude of subjects marks him out from many others. He is similar to the great Ray Bradbury and Edgar Allan Poe in that respect .
I confess that I thought SACD only did Sherlock Holmes. I am thankful to have found your channel. Thank you for great entertainment and education.

This story is sad....your delivery made me so emotional....as it is meant to be due to the content. Ahhh....you should have 1million subscribers, Greg! You know how to read dramatically and amazingly!
Not heard of this story before, so quite a treat to hear, beautifully read as always, Thank You
One of your strengths Greg is your pacing, and your timing too.
Wow The way the story developed, I started to feel like I it were true and the I was witnessing it. Debt Great writing and excellent narration.
Thanks for all the great stories! I so enjoy your voice!
Thank you 😀
That's the third time I've listened to this and I discover something new every time largely due to the wonderful delivery (Conan Doyle did a good job too to give him his due;)). You have narrowed the art of narration down to a fine art.

Thank you for sharing this
Doyle was a very wise and learned person. In history, sociology, psychology, the arts, the occult, and much more. What a fascinating author and story. I wonder if this is the largest scale character Doyle wrote, a polyglot immortal from prehistory.
This is the third story of Doyle's I've come across that is structured in this way; two stories welded together.
Beautiful reading! But by now I guess u know that 😉 I'm certain I've heard this story before, but never read like this! What will I do when I've heard all your narrations?! Hopefully u have a large library, and not all are posted yet?
Love this. I won’t call it a story as it belongs in that amazing transcendent world timelessness.
Most excellent. Narrator and, of course, storyteller.
