You obviously haven't seen the show Da'San Ardis. Lucifer wasn't evil when he was cast out from Heaven. It was the MoC. Even God admitted that he wasn't evil or a villain.

Honestly, John really blew that one! Look at how freaked and terrified Sam is! 😢 Imagine you felt your whole life like you were never good enough for your parent, never deserving of their pride and love, always being compared to your "perfect" older sibling! And then you get to know that your father, basically, wants you dead because he neither trusts you nor your inner strength. *And you don't even know why!* AND that you quite possibly have to meet your end by the hand of your sibling, hero, idol and only family member left. GOSH, I'd be *crushed*! This is sooo messed up! Plus, Dean should've never been given that kind of responsibility. Just... no! It's killing him! Poor guys!

Wayward Son perfect? I think not John trained Dean to do his job. At least Sammy had some semblance of a childhood. Dean basically had to be his parent. If Sam was thinking straight he would have realized what a crapbag John was and how strong Dean is. Dean lived his whole life with one purpose "Protect Sam".

I realy don't know what kind of scenes you've been watching because I do not remember john EVER stating he didn't love sam. And he told DEAN, and dean told sam. Dean could've also kept it to himself. And seeing where the whole deamon blood thing led in season 4, namely dean forebly detoxing sam and stating if he dies that's how it goes basically.

Even after 15 seasons. S2 is still hands down my favourite season

I actually thought John was ok until he said that Dean needed to save Sam or kill his brother and John's son. And with all that he apparently knew he didn't think to tell Sam either. That's just not forgivable, even if you understand. It's like he got some kind of messiah complex. He absolutely had to kill the demon and planned on dying and had to stop it and actually decided to kill his son 'if it was necessary' and then laid it all on Dean.

Well John wanted to kill Sam so Dean didnt have to. Supposedly he knew the prophecy from the demons that were chasing Dean and Sam down for years. The prophecy that Sam is Lucifers host and Dean is Michaels and that eventually God wants it all to end one way by Dean killing Sam but Dean can't cause he loves Sam too much. He spent half his lofe raising Sam only to be told to kill him. John didnt want that.

It doesn't seem like a big deal now because the writers have made them experience so much. It's more emotional than anything in Seasons 8-10 (Minus the bro moment in Sacrifice)

Season 1-5 had much better acting and dialogue, to be honest. The recent seasons and those beyond 5 are brilliant, don't get me wrong, but a fair amount of scenes are quite bad. Not the fault of the actors, more the writers.

Yeah it broke my heart when in season 3 sam said he wanted to act more like dean ( as in be more stoic and stuff I'm not saying dean is bad I love dean) because sam has alwas just had this serten tenderness in his heart that made me smile

It was the right decision to tell it dean. They are on their own and need to be prepared. It bothers me that John didn't reveal the whole plan of the yellow to dean.

After rewatching Lebanon (s14) and John’s return, part of me has this theory that even though John thought his trip to the future was a dream, he still had a look into everything the boys told him, out of curiosity - like the men of letters - discovered that what he’d dreamt was true and then John telling Dean he might have to kill his brother is him trying to tell him about the future, the decisions he’ll have to make, without revealing too much else.

I too feel that Lebanon also has tried to explain John's hard choices and words to Dean. Would they have shown that scene with John in the car at the end, if not to infer that he looked in to what he 'dreamed'. Telling the boys all that was before them would not have been sensible, he knew what he had to do, and led them into that future in the first season, knowing what was coming

What exasperated me is how everyone prevents Sam from finding out who he is. He is the boy with the demon blood, he was chosen for a reason and it is his right to find out why? Why him? What was his purpose? What powers does he have and how does he tap into those abilities in a way that could change his destiny? It was Sam who had the demon blood and so it should have been solely him who had the right to chose what he wants to do with his powers. Furthermore, how can one know who they _really_ are, without knowledge of a large part of their history and capabilities. Sam's agency was constantly suppressed by everyone, including Dean. A good comparison is the way Harry Potter's family concealed that fact that he was a wizard from him, as well as how his parents truly died. By hiding the truth as to who he really was, they denied him the right to self - actualise and prevented him from knowing who he really is. Existentially, this can be catastrophic for the psyche of a single human being. To realise that all that you thought was real in your life is not, and that those around you prevent you from finding out who you really are, is an polemic attack on your very existence. I get that Dean is scared to allow Sam to delve into his powers, for many reasons. However it had to be done, it was Sam's right.

Look at a bunch of the shady shit Sam did when he had the demons blood. Towards season 15 we saw dream sequence of an alternate world word Sam had been taken over by the demon blood. And still killed his brother without remorse. While it was Sam’s destiny in the end, he needed somebody to ground him so that he wouldn’t go to far that being dean

When he made a deal with the demon Azazel to kill him for the Colt, Azazel must've said or hinted at Sam having Demon Blood in him from Azazel's first visit to the Winchesters. That must've led into a bit of a conversation about Michael and Luci.

I like John of the old seasons more than the exaggerated version of him in the later seasons. The problem is that the fandom compares the Winchester family to any ordinary happy family. They are fighting monsters you cannot raise a child in normal circumstances, knowing that this incident with Mary could happen again. This man is, after all, a human and lost almost everything and is afraid to lose his kids too, that's why he trained them like soldiers. John made many mistakes, especially by Dean, and he himself admitted, but he redeemed himself when he went to hell (knowing there is no escape from that) to save deans life. This is something that many parents wouldn't do. He proved that his kids were more important than his revenge.

I realy don't get why that makes john a bad guy. Sure he could've relied a bit more knformagion to dean but for the makeing up as they go along other fans do we could also assume azazel made it a requirement for john not to tell dean any specifics off screan. Also, cue season 4 and dean fircibly detoxing sam of the deamon blood and basicalls saying "if it kills him so be it"

Trust me when I say this if you recall the end verse that was when Dean and Sam split apart, Sam was pretty adamant on saying no to Lucifer and yet somehow he did and that verse even when explicitly kept saying he was going to say no he still said yes

People are critizing John for saying that but think about it, think about what Sam's done. How many mistakes he made. He basically made the apocalypse happen because of his addiction to demon blood and his trust in Ruby. John doesn't want Sam dead but what if that's not the worst outcome? If you think about it, if Sam turns evil then what's the point in keeping him alive? Sam wouldn't be the himself anymore. Yes dean managed to save him again and again but at the cost of millions of lives. John isn't the monster here.

This is when I officially decided that I don't like their Dad. Up untill this point, John Winchester for me was this crap dad who redeemed himself and sacrificed himself for the son he just got killed. But then we find out that his very last words to that son were: "Oh, by the way, you may have to kill you brother" ???

After all that has happened, maybe Dean should have killed Sam. It is had to admit but it would have prevented a lot of things from happening.
