I had to have my cat euthanized 2 1/2 years ago I’m still heartbroken. I’m too old and disabled to get another cat.

I moved into my ex apartment and her cat would claw me all the time for just being there. It came to a head when I sat down to watch the tv and the cat jump on the back of the sofa and clawed my ear drawing blood. I waited until My ex went to her sisters, then alone with the cat I got on all four and hisst at the cat and backed it into the corner of the room ( I didn’t touch the cat at all), when the cat tried to move I moved that way and hisst again. This went on for about 10min just blocking the cats path and hissing, after the 10mins I went made a cup of tea the seat down and watched tv. After about 20mins the cat came and sat in my lap and went to sleep. After that day she would lay on my lap, behind my neck when on the sofa and would sleep on my chest or under my arm when in bed. My ex gf did notice the change in (now) our cat and asked “why is she always on you and never comes to me?” I told her nothing of the event but said “we had a chat about her behaviour”.

Why you have to euthaniseyour cat? Is it suffering from some disease? As a cat lover since my childh ood I would give my best care till the last not anestiasa
