The guitar was originally a Jim Root Telecaster, but I custom-laser-printed a matching acrylic pickguard, headstock and XY pad frame. Pickups were upgraded to Manson MBK-2 nailbombs, wiring redone, and Gotoh 510's added.
Guitar used: "Manson" Plexi Telecaster
Amp Used: Vox AC-130 Profile
Effects: Line 6 POD 500x with 4 presets within bank 3 (SMBH)
I tried to emulate the same sounds used by Matt Bellamy on The 2nd Law Tour.
Preset A: VOX AC-30 a Keeley Fuzz Head
Preset B: Same as preset A but with an Octaver
Preset C: Same as preset by, but with an added envelope filter
Preset D: Mute
Recorded using Logic through a Yamaha Audio Interface.

Mahogany Body, Rosewood Fingerboard, Birdseye Maple Neck, Gotoh 510 Tuners, Gotoh Fixed bridge, Graph Tech Saddles, Mirror Acrylic Pickguard, XY frame and headstock, Matte Black Satin Paint.

idk man, TWO ideal covers?? btw, your nailed the MIDI solo in this. To be honest I like it a lot more than most of Matt's own. When he does it live the timing is usually slightly off or something - it just kinda sounds a little "off" (the whammy effect in the chorus of the studio version of Unsustainable has a similar effect), so it's nice to have this "fix"

This is a good tone. Most covers sound like the studio version i think this is close to how matt plays it live in concert

Bro, this covering is amazing! Truly inspirational stuff here. I bought a Mini Kaossilator and found a used KP2 for effects, I am gonna mount it to a bass or something to play like Royal Blood the 2 man band with a bassist and drummer, except I'll use a drum machine lol. How did you modify you guitar? Literally make a space inside and hollow it out for the XY pad? I'm into circuit bending, so this looks like a cool project.

Hey dude! I’m so sorry, I don’t check comments too often. I used adobe illustrator and just printed it on acrylic at my school! Literally just drew the shapes using the pen tool.

Made me realize the Tom Morello inspiration behind this gadget.
Hey, if I don't have a kaoss pad, is it possible to replicate/ imitate some of the solo effects using a pitch bender/ other expression pedal effects? I use a boss gt1

+Cyernide I only paid for the AmpTone Lab kit and a few dollars for the acrylic :) The workshop and laser printers were free!

Its really similar to a Manson MB-1 in terms of body size, weight, finish, neck material, fret radius etc.
