It's called Exposure Therapy. You expose yourself to uncomfortable thoughts, situations, foods, places... more and more until you get comfortable with the situation. The way to be stronger in situations is to expose yourself to those situations that make you feel uncomfortable. Same with food. Attach a good time or good memory to foods you do not like and pretty soon you will be liking that food.

Next time you try gnocchi, after you boil and drain it, pan-fry them in some olive (or other friendly) oil until they get a touch of brown on all sides. Then toss them in the sauce. It will give them a lot different texture and they're MUCH tastier!

I have the exact same hoover and we just bought a new foot for it (instead of the entire hoover) for like £60 and it works good as new, but you definitely have to keep up with cleaning it regularly and making sure you remove the hair from the spinning parts in the foot

Hi Taz, yes definitely contact Shark if your hoover isn't working or google the make and model of your hoover to find the manual and try to troubleshoot it yourself if you want? Also, and I know it sounds a bit doomsday-preppy, but seriously consider buying some bottled water with a really good date on it and store in a cool and dark place at home, for just such a situation. The advice is to have enough for three days and 2.5 litres per person per day. If you don't need it just use it up and replenish it with fresh supply near the best before date. This has saved us a couple of times when we've lost the water supply, it meant we could have a drink, brush our teeth and give the cat clean water to drink, and we could give our neighbour a bottle too ^_^

Taz! You need to WASH the filter and let it air dry! And many vacuums have multiple filters. Please check out your model online and see which parts need to be cleaned. Also, take a big stick or long thing and see if there are things stuck inside the tube - usually its clumps of hair or paper.

In South Africa, we have loadshedding so we have no electricity for 2.5 or 4.5 hours at a time, multiple times a day…usually during peak hours. Getting ready for work, driving in traffic in the morning and afternoon because traffic lights don’t work during these times and then coming home to no electricity so you can’t cook dinner. Also… we can go without water for days here because the pipes aren’t maintained and always burst (this is the case in my area, which is very developed so you’d think things would be maintained, considering how much tax we pay to the government - we get nothing in return, these problems plus things like potholes the size of craters everywhere). It’s the norm here though, so we are prepared with many 5 litre bottles of water and power banks and backup torches for nighttime 😂😢

When you talked about people pleasing and having to remove people from your life, to not find yourself in a situation where you have to people please, it resonated with me so much. Because i feel that's what i have been doing to deal with it. Because if i found myself compromising my mental health just to please someone, i just step back. My reasoning is that your people wouldn't put your in a situation where you have to please them while sabotaging yourself.

gonna go on a bit of a ramble here. but i've been watching taz for aaaaages but i kinda stopped in the middle (i think she went on hiatus for a bit too?) but i started watching her videos again in the past 3 months. and wow she has definitely changed a lot. she's so upbeat and so comfortable within her skin now and i bet it has taken her a lot of courage and work to get to where she is now and i could not be more happier for her. i draw a lot of courage from her because i feel like i resonate with her on a lot of things and i try to emulate the same upbeat and normalcy that she emanates. i really felt it when she said that she cut out a lot of people from her life because she just didn't wanna deal with people and it made her feel happier. im trying to do that with my life too. im trying to change my life, take control of it, and start over alone somewhere new too. i hope one day i have the courage to go through the life changes and end up happier in the end like taz. i know this is youtube so obviously people dont want to always share the bad things in their life, only the good, but i understand that there will be ups and downs and thats just life. and one last thing i noticed hehehe idk if its because i just became a bts stan (within the past year) and never noticed it before but all the little bts merch in taz's apartment is just so cute. the tata pillow and mug, and the little keychains on her bag, and her coldplay shirt is so adorable. idk if taz has been a fan for a while or she's a new fan but welcome to the army taz!!!!!! i aspire to have little decorations like that in my own apartment one day too!!! who's your bias taz :P

I just don't think these cordless vacuums are strong enough, especially on carpet. I'm probably going to invest in a wired one next time, they seem to last much longer.

KZread is great for DIY repair videos. If your vacuum has suction issues, there is probably a clog somewhere, and there is probably a tutorial about clearing clogs in your specific vacuum cleaner. That's how I always fix mine. If it's beyond DIY then that's when vacuum repair shops come in handy. Also, wash your filter in the sink! Rinse it super well, squeeze it out, let it dry. There is probably still a lot of stuff in there that a good wash will get out. And you may have another filter that needs changing or cleaning.

meat thermometor advice: cook it past the "done point" and make the protein how you like it. I don't like 165 degree chicken but I love 210 degree chicken. I'm not afraid of the germs after many times of cooking chicken and making it how I like it. A little char tastes better across every food. Char on your gas stove or with a kitchen torch. Char adds a little flavor.

During the winter months it is not possible to get Vitamin D through the sun in Europe - but even in the summer most people wear cloths and sunscreen so basically nothing of the sun rays manages to come to the part of the skin that it needs to get to to make the Vitamin D. For most people it would be the easiest to just substitute daily Vitamin D. (And it is good to make a test, so you can take higher doses if you have a read need for it.) Vitamin D is best taken together with Magnesium, Calcium and Vitamin K. :)
