This video came out in 2010 when I was 31. With how absurdly long Mike takes between his videos, and with how he continues to troll us where he keeps giving us false hope that the next video will be the final video, but where it always ends with on a cliffhanger, by the time he's finished, I'll probably be in my 50s.

thanks. i'll do some alternate suit stuff soon. but i'm not worried about attracting younger folks that much. i chose the reeve suit because he's my favourite superman. thanks for the compliment but those animated series like green lantern are putting out like 12 epsidoes of 22 minutes every year so you have to simplify the design somewhat to achieve that amount of animation. that's why part 3 is taking so long because i'm putting more detail work into it and it's costing a lot of time.

bruh i was watching these series when i was like 4-5 years old. the nostalgia hits hard.

When I first saw this while I was stationed in Germany I literally shouted in my house..... holy shit!!!!! My wife came in and said, what happened. I just said, look at this Princess..... she said was WOW, looked at me and saw the sadness on my face because you sir caught the legendary Christopher Reeves right there!! Stay "Super" my man!!

Craig Lee Trigunner your right, but since the Hulk and Superman have truly never fought, and I THINK this animation is suppose to be "there first meeting" they dont no eachothers limits and superman usaully doesnt try which = hulk will just get stronger until hulk becomes supermans "weak strength" and by then superman will have noticed that hulk is hitting harder and harder and getting slightly bigger and meaner, superman will begin to actaully try, and will finish this. BUT by then hulk will be able take more punchs and it could get out of control. we no superman would win if he ULTIMITALY hit hulk the first time hard as he could. BUT superman usaully expects people like: Lobo or etc who are only moderate strengthed. so he never fully trys. anyways hulk can theoretically be stronger than superman but he would need to get MAD enough to reach that level but we dont think superman would let it reach that moment.

It's funny that you mentioned that, because I discovered an interview that he had with someone named Lucas Ridley. I hate to disappoint you, but from what Mike said in that interview, even Part 5 won't be the final video, and he even said that Part 6 might not be the final video either, so this thing could go on for quite literally another decade.

Amazing work, but I must admit it looks very rough compared to Part 4! It is amazing to see the transition from greatness to perfection.

Simply awesome...I really don't know who will win this...it could go either way, or end in a stalemate....either way, the animation work here is first class, and the action sequences well thought out and implemented. Definitely professional grade work here, and true to the characters strengths and weaknesses. Carry on !

no insult taken. i've asked other vfx buddies at work to see if i was just completely ignorant and most of them haven't heard of him either. I think you have to be an anime or manga fan to know about him, where as superman and hulk is pretty universal. i did have a friend try to get me into dragonballz when i was younger though but i just wasn't into it. I realize now how huge he is in japan.

Great visuals, Superman's likeness to Christopher Reeve was a nice homage. The hulk's detail was impressive.

I’m SO scared of that version of hulk.

Wonderful work. I had a "geek" moment when I ran into this vid. My 17 yr old niece left my place laughing at my 47 yr self responding to this titanic fight. It's what every fan of these books alway dreamt of seeing (in full moti on and sound). I also appreciate that you guys modelled Supes after late actor Chris Reeve. Please, make more in the future (like Captain America vs. Batman or Snake Plissken vs. Solid Snake!) Thanks!

Actually, that's a common comic book misconception about the Hulk's strength. He's does have finite limitations. We know this because hulk you're angry he doesn't grow as tall as Eiffel Tower, so we do have some idea of how angry he can get. If you look up Hulk on Wikipedia you're fine that if world breaker Hulk get's too angry then he's going to turn into this walking self destruct gamma bomb.

theres a few lads i work with - Adam McEwen, Simon Davies and Damon Tasker - they are INCREDIBLE animators and have regularly said they would love a pop at animating some of this. They animate in Maya and would be able to bat something out the park very quickly at a blockout level. I would seriously consider passing them the hulk and superman model to have a shot at - you would be stunned at how much better this could look! :)

superman has a better strategy , he uses red laser and ice and he can fly , hulk cant handle the laser, to his heart or other body parts but if the fight was just about strength , and punches then hulk would win and probably end up smashing superman face so many times until hes face looks like puke
