I agree. Henry was a perfectly good Superman and did well. I really liked him and the man of steel movie. I hope this one does not tell the origin story again. Just have him be Superman and Lois know about it. I’m sick of origin stories…the fans know already!

Hopefully his hair won't recede that much later on. I remember the jarring differences on Henry's hair between MoS and BvS. Much of it is due to the hairstyle, but still it was too noticeable.

Black Adam didn't do well because no. 1 it wasn't shown in China nor the middle east countries where Rock is hugely popular and no.2 the Cavill fans who only wanted to see Cavill saw his return on YT, and felt gd he was coming back and were relaxed about it. So knowing what we know now IF we knew Cavill wasn't coming bk because Black Adam did poorly (Depends on how you look at it, I'd add another 200 - 250 M for those lost Major countries) then they would have flocked to the movie more and btw it was way more popular than the last half a dozen movies that had China etc. The casual fans that flocked to see Shazam/Shazam2, TSS, BOP, Flash, BB and so on...those fans that don't really care? The ones who grow up and want mature movies eventually like the rest of the REAL fans, the ones who have stood by all of this for years and years the fans who matter who are guaranteed sales IF the product is decent? Who would you promote for? Fans who grow up and want nothing more to do with comics or fans who bring there kids to see REAL Superheros. The casual fans are flip floppers and unrealistic because they will watch any old trash and choose on the day what they want to see! So mess the movies up for the fans who don't care right? The last time most casual viewers saw him was in Justice League 2017 (not cameo). They're not *that* attached to him, ill said it again "THEY'RE NOT THAT ATTACHED TO HIM", By the time Superman: Legacy comes out in 2025 it'll have been EIGHT YEARS since Justice League '17, the last time Henry Cavill was a proper character in a theatrical DC film. (A credits cameo in a Black Adam flop doesn't matter) Most casual viewers won't care he's not Superman. And I'm not even saying Superman: Legacy will be the biggest success ever. It could very well fail. People might not care about a new DC universe, superhero fatigue could get worse and worse. But if it does fall short, it won't be cos Henry Cavill wasn't present.

Doesn't anyone know this by now? When Christian Bale screen tested for Batman he wore the Kilmer suit. It's just what they do. Why would they make a suit (which can't really be customized until you have an actor cast) It's just a screen test.

Reeves will always be Superman to those of us who grew up in the 80s and Cavill was the first guy that could match his performance. I don’t event remember the other movie in between anymore. He just didn’t have the same presence. Filling Reeves/Cavills shoes is going to be hard task so I wish him and Gunn luck as they really need to nail this movie.

That's a good idea, but i think it's more likely that will happen in Supergirl's movie. Gunn says Superman Legacy isn't an origin story.

Before all the craziness and fighting scenes, buildings getting shattered, I hope they have a bunch of nice scenes of Superman being a hero, doing stuff around the globe, just like they did for Superman & Lois series, this actor did a great Superman.

What type of role do you think the Engineer from the Authority, Guy Gardner as Green Lantern, Metamorpho, Hawkgirl and Mr Terrific are going to play in the Superman Legacy movie and who's going to be the main Villain besides Nicolas Hoult as Lex-Luthor?

I think Henry Cavill is the best Superman ever He has done an amazing job portraying the Man of Steel and has brought a sense of strength, integrity, and vulnerability to the character. Cavill's physicality and charisma really embody the iconic superhero. I also think we should give Corenswet a chance because David Corenswet's acting skills make him a good fit for Superman because he has shown versatility in his performances. He has the ability to portray complex emotions and bring depth to his characters, which are important qualities for a superhero like Superman.

James Gunn Did say early on, that his new Universe, he wanted the same actors for voice and movie as I recall. Also I can see James Gunn doing something in the "Christmas Spirit" and giving us the gift of the new suit.

Wow Henry Cavill had such a smaller physique for Superman when auditioning. It’s a credit to actors that put on so much muscle to embody a role that they sometimes don’t get enough credit for.

Genuinely upset about no more Henry Cavill. Was the perfect casting, he loved the character, put in the work and refused any steroids to help get bigger, and they used a fraction of his potential. Crazy

Seeing Meg Donnelly playing Supergirl would be like that time we saw the voice actor of Batman Kevin Conroy playing the live action version of him during the CW Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover but Millie Alcock is a good choice for Supergirl. Speaking of voice actors, would it be awesome if we saw Jensen Ackles playing Batman in James Gunn DC projects in the DCU but Oliver Jackson Cohen is a great choice as well?

As much as l love milly alcock to get the role i really want meg donnelly to get this role she even look almost like kara in a way as well shes prefect for this i do see the remembrace in her ,and david lol but if the other gets it i would be okay with it.

Christopher Reeves, Tom Welling and Henry Cavill where the best Supermans.

I don't know either of those girls, but I'm super stoked for this movie.

Still doesn’t feel right what happened to Henry. He was such a damn good Superman but never got the chance to show the world.

Once corenswet is on screen as Superman, all of us will forget Cavill.. That's how it has been..😅

I hadn't seen the photos referred to in the video. I'd heard before about auditioning actors wearing the previous actor's costumes, it only makes sense. Why would they create a costume for an actor just for an audition? those things are expensive and tailored for whichever actor actually gets the role. I remember hearing that Nick Cage wore Chris Reeves' Superman costume for photo purposes when they were trying to make that version of Superman (that only has appeared in the Flash). I've heard of Meg Donnelly, she was in The Winchesters, the prequel of Supernatural. She is a super tiny lady and very talented also. I've kind of lost faith in some of the Game of Thrones actors after seeing them in other properties. Alcock did do a great job in Dragons, we'll see won't we?

Dcu should also add early the super heros who are doing martial arts like 1.batman 2.batgirl 3.catwoman 4.they should add more martial arts on suicide squad 5.robin 6.green arrow 7.and more super heros who did martial arts Not just always super heros who are flying flying always Dcu should mix it Like mcu did captain america winter soldiers black widow hawkeye black panther spiderman guardian of galaxy etc who are doing martial arts While making releasing also movies who has flying super heros ironman thor vision scarlet witch captain marvel and the jumping hulk

New actor looks like Henry's little brother fr.

He needs to absorb as much of Henry's essence as he can because he was that awesome as Superman.

Well, to be honest its just a better suit than the ones before.

I have to imagine that it costs quite a bit to have those expensive suits cleaned.

This may be a solid film and rebirth to the franchise

Cavil should have been Superman for longer but Corenswet looks good and probably fits better with the timeline of films he is 10 years younger then Henry Cavil so
