I have a theory that the Engineer's nano-blood, the source of her power in the comics, is LexCorp reverse engineered Kryptonian technology. Technology that may be developing a mind of its own and is taking her over. If that's the case Superman could be going to the Fortress to learn from father Jor-El on what this technology could be evolving into. If it's only developing here or if it could be an extension of a larger threat to come. In other words, we could get a tease for the build up of Brainiac.

I gotta say, I’m really glad the production team is filming on location, in a cold and beautiful environment like Svalbard of all places. It would be so much easier to just green screen in the fortress of solitude from an air-conditioned soundstage like many productions would opt to do. Real areas always make a film feel more genuine and is something the comic book movie genre has been missing for a long time.

Really like that James Gunn is filming the Superman movie in Norway 🇳🇴 for The Fortress Of Solitude! James is right in the interview saying that nature gives a special feeling. I believe that CGI being used for every movie is not always the right way. Because being in the actual environments that you want the audience to feel like the characters are in, you’d need to film the specific scenes in those areas. If they're adapting Kingdom Come he probably isn't fleeing to the fortress out of fear. They're probably showing the scene where he got fed up with society and left to the fortress thinking his faith in the world was shattered and went into self-imposed exile.

I watch a lot of essay videos so I’m accustomed to long form content, that being said, I think you are hitting a sweet spot between delivering the news quickly and providing enough context for a viewer like myself to follow along.

The main problem is WB messing everything up. The Snyder hate is unreal for a Universe that was hardly started. I mean WB did it to Donner/Burton/Singer as well, so yeah the Snyder hate is unwarranted and people praising Gunn, WHAT FOR? Are you a DC fan or a Gunn Fann? Exactly. Superman without the red jockies doesnt feel like Superman.

i like the trunks on superman because the second you see a person wearing blue with red underwear on the outside you know it’s superman. it does look goofy but i kinda like that about the character i don’t think he is meant to always look bad ass like characters like batman.

Hopefully The Fortress of Solitude looks like the Christopher Reeve movies and Alex Ross comics being Crystal and showing the Giant Statues of Krypton and Superman's Parents holding it up. Also hoping at the end of the Movie he gets the Better Classic S Symbol cause the Kingdom Come symbol doesn't scream Truth, Justice and the American way.

Still love Man of steel. Seeing images from the film kind of takes me out of the discussion about the new film. But, still, I have high hopes for Gunn's film. I will say that Gunn is very good with ensemble casts and the interaction between characters. So, his decision to introduce DCU's Superman as taking place in a world populated by heroes and villains is totally appropriate.

that story explanation sounded mad convoluted.

Superman should lay the foundation of the DC Universe in the first film. Then, in Superman 2, he should explore his true power off-world, facing Mongul in "Superman: Warworld." The post-credits scene in "The Authority" could show Lobo taking Superman off-world for this battle. Tease Superman's full potential throughout, especially if the main villain is Manchester Black. Introduce a time skip and a cameo from Bruce Wayne in the first movie or the authority as Superman Could inspire Dick Grayson become Nightwing, establishing his place in the world. Leave room for other DC characters to appear but keep the focus on Superman's journey. Consider a Titans movie to bridge the gap before Superman 3, where he aligns with a new generation, including a different Robin like Damian Wayne, and explores his missing years due to space travel.

Imagine how cold it would be for the superman actor playing in a cold location with huge fans operating making it even cooler!! Also, regarding the longer videos, I did felt the urge to make a comment with respect to some points made in the video but had to wait for the full video to finish. I think adding chapters to these longer videos would be a good starting point as it will make it easier to engage and coming up with opinions with regard to certain parts of the video. Overall, I think we need more of these long videos to determine if it is really necessary. Although I don't think that's a problem but do try to keep it concise and provide clarity which may effectively reduce the video length, however I did not find any inconvenient point made in this video that contributed negatively to its length.

I would keep in mind that the interview with Gunn is translated from a Norwegian news network, so the words aren't exact. "Flees" in this case could, in reality just be "Goes" or another similar word. The difference is subtle, but could potentially change the stakes of the situation. For now, we don't have a direct translation, so we're making the best out of what we have.

Whether short or long, I'm fine with with any length. And I wouldn't be surprised if Marvel or DC have no Hall H presence at Comic Con. Deadpool 3 will be out around that time, and DC COULD promote Joker 2, but that feels so much like an independent project that it probably plays more towards film festivals than Comic Con. Still, DC at Comic Con would've been a good place to maybe reveal more cast or slate news. I'd be open to Fandome returning. It worked well during the pandemic and when there was a lot of DC film and TV news, but it may need some updating on what they would promote since DCTV on the CW is ending and there's not a ton of film news right now.

I always see DCEU as things past Aquaman 1. Stuff before is SnyderVerse imo. Snyder had a plan but when he left, no other plan took its place. So for me, the DCEU never had a plan, they just made random movies.

I'm very skeptical about multiple characters being at the Fortress of Solitude. It has solitude in the name for a reason. Otherwise, I'm very excited to see a new version of the Fortress. In the comics, it has many functions and has as many trophies as the Batcave. I hope we'll finally see a comic accurate Fortress of Solitude in this movie.

Concerning the time of the videos I think they need to be as long as you need to report whatever it is that you are reporting.

Can you make a video explaining this 'reverse Kingdom Come' idea? I've read the comic but I'm just not connecting the dots as to what you mean by this phrase. As for the video length, I think you could do a good mixture once in a while. Perhaps some explanations on Gunn's approach. I personally have no idea who The Authority are and I'm sure I'm not the only one so you've got a lot of content options.

I certainly will see the Superman movie when it comes out but if they want me to get excited than they need to give the overused Lex Luthor a rest and finally, finally give us Brainiac! The best DC Animation of Superman adapted a graphic novel of the same name, Superman Unbound. Give us a live version of something like that and I'll be very excited!

The belt needs to switch back to a straight-across-the-abdomen shape and with a gold oval, not a redundant diamond shape. This is for two reasons. One, the straight belt is the dividing line on a man's body. It helps even out his proportions. Men with longer waists need it slightly higher, and the opposite for men with shorter waists. Thin belts that form a V shape look feminine. I'm fine with the trunks lacking belt loops, if there are trunks, but the belt needs to stop forming a "V". The "modernized" belt has always had this "we weren't sure what to put here" feel.

Then so far I'm the only one who disagrees about the casting for Perry White. He's a great actor but Perry is White! Details matter! The costume looks great indeed, only I thought that Kingdom Come S was reserved for Brandon Routh returning.

@@OurMovieNews Honestly i'm 50/50 on the whole trunks debate, I understand why some people think it looks silly, but in all honestly, I feel like the trunks give the suit a sort of "classic" Superman feel, I don't know why, but that's just how I see it.

What exactly does the "classic Superman feel" feel like and why should it matter more than functionality of the suit and what purpose trunks would serve other than "look at my junk"?
