Best line in any Superman movie. You got me who got you!!!😂😂

Years ago I had the privilege of seeing Christopher Reeves in person at a Zig Ziglar motivational conference in Columbus Ohio. He was in a wheel chair and on a artificial breathing machine. His family was with him for support. He struggled to breathe. He gave a great speech. It was a great honor. A few months later he passed. Now he flies in Heaven with the angels. The best Superman ever. He is missed. :(

The earth wasn’t spinning backwards, Superman was going back in time so the earth appeared to be moving backwards

The ending of the Superman 2. "Good afternoon Mr. President. Sorry I've been away so long. I won't let you down again." And he looks up at the flag. Reeve just understood that role so perfectly.

Reeve was perfect for it man. Clark and all. I just hated the Lois relationship being unobtainable. Cavill was good in Man Of Steel. I hated his Clark portrayal and every movie after MOS. Routh was damn good at following Reeve's footsteps.

Best save has to be from Superman Returns when during the plane rescue. Amazing visuals, no shaky camera so you can see whats going on, and also its classic superman. I rank that a tad bit higher than the save of Lois from the original Superman movie, even though that line at the beginning is immortal: "Hey Jim, that's one baaaaaaad outfit".. hahahah :D

Nah. I gotta swap your choices. The helicopter had the theme playing, his first appearance ever. That tops it to me. Rouths plane save was good as fuck and his whole portrayal was spot on. But a first appearance is one of the best scenes for Superman

@@pershop4950 The thing about Hoechlin's Superman is that he's in a feminist show. He's not strong enough and they just make him a joke. I don't personally like the CW Supergirl. Supergirl was irresponsible and new to the whole earth thing and wasn't used to it. I get that she's older in this version and that's fine, but she was NEVER supposed to outshine Superman. I don't feel that way because she's a woman either. I just don't like the way they wrote her character. I don't like the way they did ANY of the characters actually. Manhunter is probably the best written and that's still mediocre. I was excited about Superman turning up in Supergirl, but I'd rather him not be in it at all if they're gonna make it out like Kara is stronger. And Hoechlin's Superman spinoff is gonna fail. Supergirl already fought all of their villains in her show, so that's gonna feel repetitive. I hate Tyler's Superman and I think he could've been decent with that role on TV. And his suit sucks ass

@@CapitanJusticia Yes, I guess it would be bad to actually see him save them. If he did it with all his strength, the plane would disintegrate. Later in the movie, he lifts an entire island. So, I would assume he takes it easy to make sure the plane is intact enough to leave the passengers alive.

I simply can't believe that you didn't include the ending scene where Superman (with Christopher Reeve) flies out of the horizon and smiles to the camera, WOW

I'm sorry but I strongly disagree! I do respect your opinion of course but that was just one of many superman adaptations that we have and will see! Zack snyder was giving us our modern superman movie! You have every right to live in the past and enjoy that! I myself enjoy Christopher Reeves superman! But Henry cavil is much better imo!

@@oneshotperrotte1541 I think this depends on age and who u watched first.. for us the old school guys "im 25 yo btw but watched the 1st superman when i was 7" and im still able to see 1978 as moderne one and not dated at all .. so for us chris revee is the only superman .. it's like today's music is great and we have alot of technology but 80's michael jackson will remain the king !

For the most part, I think most of the new movies in this genre are way better today. But... I think Chistopher Reeve did a much better Superman than either Routh or Cavil. In particular the way he created a separate Clark Kent character that was so different you could actually believe that ridiculous disguise. In fact, my grandmother was watching one of the movies with me back in the early 90s, and she had never seen or heard of Superman before (she was not from a western country), and midway through she asked me if it was the same actor. She kinda thought it was, but the acting was so convincing she wasnt sure. It was everything from his body language and posture to his tone of voice. Anyway, Henry Cavil, as much as I like him, does not hold a candle to Chris.

I didn't read everybody's comments but for my money one of the most incredible feats was displayed was Christopher Reeve's Superman and flying around the world in reversing time that's got to be one of the most incredible Superman feats to save Lois Lane!

So many epic moments left out of this, the stopping the bullet with his eye, the final diner scene from Superman 2, Cavil Killing Domsday, just a few..

I like the Superman can hear everything so much its so awesome and good made and gives you a perfect example how he feels.

I find it silly that Son of Krypton ducked from the bullets like he forgot he's bulletproof in BvS. That moment can kiss the ass Brandon Routh's Superman eye stopping a bullet and giving a near-cocky smile after. Reeve and Routh forever, my childhood and adulthood versions of Superman.

Keep in mind that Man of Steel Superman is still very new to the job; he knows he's tough, but at that point in his career his durability has not been tested enough for him to trust it 100%. Contrast this with Brandon Routh's superman, whose character is actually the continuation of Reeve's and has thus been at it for decades. He's been shot at many times and he knows exactly how invulnerable he is.

@@NERvshrd Sure, he was never tested with flying through missiles in the beginning, having the senate blow up around him, having the bat mobile bounce off him and his fight with Zod...... Maybe if he flinched with other things like the bat mobile then that would have kept the continuity. I am sure it was just a directors choice to have him cover up and hide. But standing in front of speeding tank of a car and not flinching would pretty much tell me that I am pretty darn tough.

Those are all different types of physical interactions. There are plenty of superheroes who can survive explosions and stop impacts from trucks and tanks. Some of these same heroes can be shot and injured with guns. "toughness" is not some universal stat as in an RPG. Again, new to the job.

@@NERvshrd Meh new is relative. Explosions seem to be a lot more destructive than bullets. I think it was over a year or something since the Zod fight. That seems like more than enough time for Sups be shot a bunch of times. But whatever you want to justify it to yourself. It's okay if you like that superman. The direction they took him was not appealing to me.

The " real" Superman is the Superman of ones childhood.

Is it me or did Reeves have the best Charisma playing Superman. Even in Superman 3, The Nut Flicking was a great scene. My favorite scene is when Superman made the Earth spin Backwards. Reeves is the Perfect Superman.

Reeves all the way the wonder of the superman the movie will never be eclipsed, you'll notice from superman returns to man of steel the colors got darker even the cinema photography. Bryan Singer and Zack Snyder are so scared of natural bright colors unlike Richard donner who embraced it that's why his superman works.

The reason why man of steel is all dark is because it's supposed to be realistic like it's telling you what would happen if an alien was flying around in the real world like it's literally trying to show people like you that if superman was real it would be exactly like man of steels portrayal and far from Reeves try and understand. The save scene at the oil rig is really nice. Although I thought it was not good to just do that for so many people to see, but I understand the idea behind it now was to leave a trail of activities that Clark had done so that there would already be people who understood him and supported the things he did, as well as for Lois to track him down too.

One of the best scenes was when the robber shot Superman in the eye and the bullet collapse, if that doesn't show how impervious to bullets Superman is, I don't know what would.

The deleted scene from Superman the Movie where Lex has about half a dozen machine guns firing at Superman and all the bullets are just bouncing off shows that better

Was a little disappointed. Three of my favorite scenes are: In Superman, his anguish at Lois' death and his turning back time to reverse her demise, his going back to the diner to sort out the bully who bloodied in nose in Superman II, and also in Superman II, his flying with the American flag to put it back on the White House.

That agonizing scream was amazing acting on Reeve's part. And his voice when he caught the bullet in the alley. I was disappointed that they didn't have the extended scene from the 1978 movie when he goes underground to Luthor. Most versions cut it out, but on his way to Lex, he's shot and frozen and all kinds of shit. Great scene

Agreed, the Leaning Tower of Pisa was meh! But the scene where Lois dies was amazing and still gives me chills. From the moment he lays her on the ground and makes that sad moan because her head falls to the side to the cry of anguish as he flies into the sky. That whole scene was awesome. Sorting out the bully was also awesome.

I don't think we can fit all the Reeve films in one video.

George Reeves was MY Superman, but Christopher Reeve was easily the best. The two best Superman scenes however, were BOTH in Superman Returns. Saving the airplane was awesome, and you didn't include what might be the greatest Super-rescue ever when he lifted the boat out of the ocean. It still brings tears to my eyes.

I always felt sorry for Brendan Routh, that terrible script gave him nothing to work with, I am glad he is getting another chance as the Man of Steel

It was a little off but it's no where near as bad as people make it out to be. They were paying homage to Reeve's version and a lot of people don't seem to get that when they knock it

"Superman IV The Quest for Peace" had nothing BUT cringeworthy moments in it. The whole film was shark jumping from start to finish.

@@les4767 The evil Superman vs. Clark was the only good moment in the third one. Richard Pryor was a whole 4 mistakes by himself. That super computer bullshit. Trying to make kryptonite and they ended up with red kryptonite affects??? Quest for Peace had cringe and stupid moments, I'll admit. But the story wasn't bad. At least it got back to Lex story. The rebuild vision was awful, but other than that, there really wasn't anything bad about it. The gym scene was pretty funny, the whole movie kind of took us away from the Lois relationship that couldn't ever happen. The council saying he couldn't disarm the world was also stupid but honestly, everything the fortress taught him aside from who he was, was a terrible idea. 4 seemed like a better story than 3.

i love Batman also, but they're 2 different guys, both great!!

Of the scenes, the one showing Superman rescuing plane passengers was the best.

I'd have to go with the flying sequence in Superman, The Movie, complete with Margot Kidder talk signing, "Can You Read My Mind?" About half way through the flight, Superman accidentally let's go, and gravity takes effect. I can still picture that in my mind as the 8:28 track plays on my CD. Yes, I still have CDs.... ;)

the scene with lois falling from the helicopter is my favourite superman moment.

I love the part with the asshole trucker. By showing that he also has emotions it makes superman feel more real instead of some omnibenevolent god that can never do anything mean.

Christopher Revve was the best Superman all the time!

Each Superman movie is flawed, yet contains within it one spectacular scene of pure joy and awesomeness. Each actor brought something wonderful to the role of Superman. However, the problem is that Donner's movie does not age well at all. Man of Steel was a little too realistic and dark, Returns was boring and recycled villains and plots, Superman 2 had problems with directors and studio involvement, Superman 3 and 4 are simply movies we don't talk about. Batman v Superman lies somewhere out there.

Christopher Reeve nails it as Clark Kent/Superman. He was right out of the comic book. Routh and Cavill are visually better looking. But acting wise Reeve was that dude.

1978 superman set the standard i can still watch this movie over and over..simple plot ...not dark and depressing or a over complex storyline ......superman returns ...man of steel..the only advantage the superhero movies of today have is the CGI but that doesn't make a movie better

jason hearn I found myself enjoying the Reeves clips more than the others. Because there was no CGI enhancement, padded suits, or often near darkness on the screen (a bit like watching radio, why bother?). From a “simpler time” perhaps, but IMO, more enjoyable. Chris will always be the penultimate Superman!
