Well, I learned something new today...thanks for the informative video. Hmph, if KZread had been around when I was younger, I might've mounted a supercharger on my '76 Chevy Estate Wagon(454 V8)-that would've made grocery & church trips more fun :)
Pretty sure the WWII fighter V-12’s had centrifugal superchargers.
Definitely learnt something today! Thank you!
I'm from ViêtNam ,I very like superchargers and as sir AndysAutoSportTV
Seriously one of the best videos on KZread. Great job guys!
Fantastic to the point video on the subject. :-)
Superchargers and Turbochargers I like both of them.
This was great info
This was very helpful
What should we look for when buying a used supercharger? Are there any signs of wear or damage?
STELLAR TECHNICAL INFO . WELL DONE SIR
A very nice and educational video. Would be nice to provide more information on the TVS system
cool video, I'd like to see you do a supercharger install on a dodge charger r/t. I'm going to put a supercharger on mine. I'm liking the centrifugal style.
Awesome info thanks and I will contact one of your sales team for my application thanks
very informative....
Just took my AC out to make room for my turbo kit. Well now I got some empty space where the AC compressor was and it's right by the intercooler piping... Tempted to put a centrifugal SC right there...
pls do a vid on air intercoolers vs air-water intercoolers
Not bad. Very thorough. The only thing that was missing is ... which supercharger was quietest ...during idle and ... during boost. It would be ideal to have had a audible sound comparison. I originally came to find out which one was more fuel efficient during normal driving and which one during all out boost.
Wow, what a great video. Now I know I need a professional to install. I end up with extra parts when assembling kids toys... couldn't imagine installing a super charger on my kia, by consulting the user manual. ☠
ive seen too many people have problems with the centrifugal. i think the best seems to be the twin screw
Danke
Grate info on making power. Thanks maniacal s10 on KZread.
Why do some root superchargers have a scoop on top. Sometimes i just see the scoop and no supercharger. Im so confused
Can you go with a twin screw supercharger and a snorkel for off roading?
good sir, i think an engine tries to draw it's displacement of air every other (2)rpm not every rpm.
Rooted style blower
Wish they had something for my 97 mirage:(
Would have liked to see the inner workings or the principle of the Rotor's with air flow. But you would have had to take them apart and void the warrantee's.
What would you mostly recommend for my 2008 6.0l trailblazer ss a supercharger or a turbo charger?
Nice 1993 Trans Am.
Great video and you seem like a cool guy.
I'd love to look at your supercharger kits but I don't own a car. But I do have a GM 5,7L V8 in my boat...
Whats the best choice for a 2000 mustang gt?
Whats a Better choice for a 2000 mustang gt, daily driven?
what type of supercharger works well with a ka24de
Stuck between Whipple and ECS!
Are there any Superchargers for bmw e30's?
I would prefer Centrifugal and Twin Screw supercharger.
Do you all have any knowledge of running a supercharger on the newer engines that have the cylinder deactivation systems. I ask because I have seen a few people who have 1000+hp vehicles getting 20-24 mpg with the engines that have the cylinder deactivation setup.

Cylinder deactivation is definitely possible with moderns electronic engine control systems.
unfortunately did not answer the question i was hoping to find which was should i get a twin screw or roots for my truck all i care about is takeoff torque

Low end compression is higher with the root style.
Hey Andy, I have an Infinity G35 and I'm looking to gain a little more bottom end horsepower without adding a turbo or super charger or anything that complex. What would you reccomend?

I don't think you have any options if you say no turbos, superchargers, or anything that complex. Anything for good power is complex. you can do a new intake, exhaust, and programming but you wont gain much. A good tune might help with low end power, maybe.

Josh Hagerman Agreed. A tune, cold air intake, exhaust, etc. won't add more than 20-70 HP at best. You have to go forced induction or nitrous injection if you want to add >100 HP.
Which would you recommend on a twin rotor rx-8?
@One_LuvZ

I would check with Camden Supercharger since they work with rotary engine cars, but ask them what is a good size for your SE3P(RX8). Hope that helps
can i plug a supercharger in ma turbo car, but have that pssheeeeew power still comin from ma turbo too...? Is possible? Anyone?
how much horsepower would I have adding a supercharger to an 2015 r/t Dodge Ram?
I'll take a Whipple supercharger for my Denali
Two-stroke diesel, by design, need a supercharger otherwise it won’t run. Instead of having a normal valve at the top of the cylinder like a normal 4-stroke diesel do, two-stroke counterparts use a transfer port at the very bottom of the cylinder end but unlike 2-stroke gasoline, two-stroke diesel doesn’t use a crankcase scavenging effect to breath in air instead rely on supercharger to push in air inside the combustion chamber. One of the benefit of having this design is it doesn’t burn oil as the lubrication system are the same as a normal 4-stroke gasoline/diesel and also it doesn’t suffer from a charge leakage like a normal two stroke do as the poppet exhaust valve is still there.
intro song please ?
A naturally aspirated engine of any displacement, cannot draw in an amount of air/fuel equal to it's displacement. 100% volumetric efficiency (VE) is all but impossible. The combustion chambers atop the piston bores are dead zones which prevent 100% VE. Now if there were no combustion chambers, you might have a 100% VE engine, on the intake cycle, but you better not try a compression cycle. lmao Bacically the only way an engine can ingest an air/fuel charge that's equal or greater than it's displacement, is with help from a forced induction system.

Exactly what I was thinking.
End of the day turbos ftw.
I make 29 pounds of boost on a 6.5 liter engine so can someone do the math for me
