Supercharger Install Ep. 7 - Remote Tuning with EcuTek | Flashing, Datalogging, and More

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Tuning is the most important things you need to consider when heavily modifying your car. From installing a supercharger / forced induction, to simple exhaust and intake installs, a good, reliable tune is key to ensuring that your car runs right. EcuTek is one of the leading tuning franchises which provides easy to use software to help with this important step, in tangent with one of their licensed EcuTek tuners.
In this video I cover how to use the EcuTek ProECU software to tune your car by flashing roms provided by your tuner. I cover how to install the ProECU software, how to flash your car with a new ROM tune, how to collect datalogs, and how to review your data logs. I also briefly cover the use of the ECU Connect app by EcuTek to datalog your car on the go, without a laptop, on your android device.

    Yeah! I did a so called individual pro reflash via ecu tec with my 370Z and gained a +3 seconds at 100 - 200 km/h. My 370Z does now a 13,01 wich is incredible considering it has zero performance mods!

    Oh man im so happy for you dude! Your Z is really coming together, keep it up man! I have a question for your tuner, my goal is an installation of a turbocharger, i wanted to take advantage of the AEM water meth kit down the road, is there a way to switch between maps from 93 pump gas to pump gas with water/meth mixture and vise versa? If so, is it wiser to strengthen the internals first, then do water meth due to the increased boost pressures?

    My question would be for valet mode. You use the app to put it valet mode. Is that changeable via the cruise controls that allow map switching after leaving your car somewhere?

    This is my first time using Ecutek to flash tune my q50. At one point in this video you say the tuner(my case Z1Motorsports) my need to see my query ECU and that they my ask me to just dump this info and send to them. What do you mean by “DUMP”? Are you meaning just to copy and paste it to something?

    Yes, from my understanding the factory tune has a set max calculations for fuel, ignition timings, vvel timing, etc. Introducing an unknown on the engine like a cold air intake for example, ecu sees there's denser air at idle and cruising, ecu is gonna dump more fuel to compensate to reach the 14.7:1, low rpm torque characteristics may decrease. The mid to high rpm range, things may seem normal, installing an exhaust changes backpressure and affects the flow of fuel and air mixture when the timing of intake and the exhaust valves are both open for fuel efficiency and performance, installing bigger injectors can affect atomization of fuel from lack of fuel pump pressure to OEM duty cycle factory parameters, so not tuning can have a negative or null performance gains. I like to think of it this way, tuning your ecu after installation of engine performance parts is like teaching your brain that you got a new prosthetic limb to get familliar with to kick some a$$

    ok so I have a question I have a 2011 370z nismo want to add this supercharger kit but the concerns i have are, with 11:1 compression ratio the vqhr makes how much boost can the stock internals handle? I've been looking into doing a full internal build with mine but if I don't have to go balls to the wall I wont lol.

    There's no definite answer on how much the engine can handle, and there are other factors like how old the motor is, how the engine is tuned, etc. The basic answer I can give is a lot of guys are running up to 15 psi with no problems given competent tuning. Around 20-25 psi you start to run into issues with head lift.

    Hi Robert, great vid. Is it possible to drive the car with the SC installed but prior to tuning? (Without damaging the car/SC). I'm in the UK and don't know of any remote tuners. There are shops that specialise in tuning of these cars but they are several hours drive from me. If it's possible to drive the car 'un-tuned' there without damaging anything then this would be a lot more convenient for me. Thanks again.

    Inwould talk to Eugene Turkov with Enthusiast Auto Care. He can work with just about anyone around the world and can send you a tune that is safe to flash and get the car started / driveable.

    I have long tube headers, and don't have a check engine light because the o2 sensors are disabled/the limits were thrown way out. You really need a tune to prevent check engine lights from deleting your cats.

    Ecutek over Uprev? Any reason why?

  • @thecarizon504

    @thecarizon504

    3 жыл бұрын

    I'm planning on doing a separate video on uprev vs ecutek to discuss this, along with a couple tuners, but from what little I know, ecutek has finer map adjustments, can tune throttle, but uprev allows you to tune the car yourself, as a user. I also lile the ecutek interface better, having worked with both. Plus, Eugene Turkov was highly recommended to me by several people in the Z community and he is an ecutek master tuner.

    I also read somewhere that for forced induction, Ecutek is way better... That's why I chose it, also the dongle and easy logging capability is nice to have. However... I've lost cruise control and miss it a lot, I used it everyday to stay at speed limit
