ive been riding about twenty years finally got a rocket roadster last year nothing compares they are amazing bikes now when i ride my 1500cc vulcan it feels tiny only bike ive owned anywhere. close to it wad a 1900cc yammaha stratoliner

Great bike; I have a 2005 with only 2700miles, and I believe it is enough power for me just leaving her stock, but I will replace the exhaust system, I liked the video and "Be Safe"

I put a Dave Platt on mine. Only 800 quid and well worth it. Just remember if you do change it make sure you also re-tune her to get the best out of it. Recommend the RamAir too. Do them at the same time so you only have to re-tune once. Took my bike up to 146 on the back wheel. A gain of just over 20 bhp.

Did you have to change anything else, like brakes, suspension? I have an 04 model and would love to do something to it. Not sure I like the look of the super charger though. I did see that you can get a kit from Carpenter Racing but thats all the way over in the Staes and would prefer someone in England to do it.

You would definitely put better suspension on her. You would need to look after the clutch too. That's the weak link when you pump these bikes to 200bhp :)

I love the ROCKETS, but love the Harley baggers more. I'm working on a nitrous bagger going to twist her up more this yr, to 275hp! Shes set up for quarter mile drags.

You were talking in KMPH right.. not in miles..right? one of the most fascinating bike I have ever seen...

Western USA is where this bike wants to live.

Rocket 3s come in to their own when you're cruising at 90mph, twist the throttle then the bike gets exciting hitting 130mph in seconds, it's all 'pull' or torque, would be great if Triumph could make a 7 speed automatic 3300cc supercharged as standard strait out the factory, don't know what Triumph are waiting on, oh and don't forget to increase the gas tank size by 200%

2003 ? Was the Rocket 3 out earlier in the UK ???

It came out here in 2004 but they started taking deposits in 2003. So he probably meant thats when he put down his deposit. At the moment they are taking deposits for the new 2020 Rocket but you won't get one until 2020. I suppose you could claim that you got it in 2019 if you paid your deposit now.

At first sight he reminds me a bit of Henry Cole, also a slow speaker, but this man certainly has bigger balls! And a bigger bike. And he rolls his own, just tabacco, no stuff or something.

ok a few inaccuracies here.. the rocket only came out in 2004... and stock back then was 140bhp... and you can't hit 215mph on a stock gearing rocket without increasing the stock rev limit from 6500 to over 8000rpm - perhaps this man has done that, hopefully done some head work to safely do it too coz the supercharger kit doesnt include it. as for never having any trouble, lucky guy the wires on the bottom of the ignition key barrel didnt break away or have the output bearing go. but it looks like the guy is smoking ganja so maybe that explains it lol

+Arto Del Funko Gosh, it's nice to run across at least one 'expert' on any given YTVideo. The Triumph R3R is an amazing machine. The man, you know, the OWNER of the R3R in question, says he bought the bike in 2003. I wonder, just when did they start selling the 2004 models? Now, why in the world would a person with the money to buy a machine of this calibre, and then pay to have it souped up without asking you about rev limits or gear ratios? He didn't strike me as schtoopud. Never mind me, I love blowing by people on my R3R (withOUT the blower, thanx) Keep the rubber down.

holy shit. what a spectacular moron. the bike 'in question' is not an R3R (as in Rocket III Roadster), they didnt come out until 2010. this bike is the original model Rocket III. and FYI the rocket went on display in 2003 and deposits were taken, they weren't sold until spring 2004. get your facts right before you go off on a bitchy rant and embarrass yourself on the internets ya big dramaqueen

never 195 on that bike, it has way too much cross section and you would need to be taped to the grips
