Halloween in Australia when it's not Autumn (Fall) is a real problem with fog. The fog comes out at a high temperature anyway, hot air rises faster than cool air so the trick is to use a system that can cool the fog down so it stays low on the ground for longer. This can be done using some flexible tubing you can coil inside a large container, having the tube ends fixed to holes made at the base of the container, sealing them so you can pour in lots of ice in the container and close it. Place the fog machine at one end of the container (It's good to have a heat resistant tube fixed to that end cause the nozzle of your fogger gets hot in case you're like me and didn't know how hot it can get). The fog travels through the coiled up tubing in ice and it gets "Chilled". There's a few plans for this on the net but they are easy to improvise or even improve on😊

Utilize the Bernoulli effect and don’t put the hose adaptor right against your fogger. If there’s room for more air, the low pressure in the tube will pull even more air in and help disperse the fog

Love this idea! For our display we love low lying fog so not only do we buy Froggy fog juice, but we also have similar garden piping you used in your example. We freeze water bottles the night before and throw 2-3 bottle into the tube and it cools the fog enough to keep it perfectly low. Halfway during the night we replace the frozen bottles, but its easy to do. I know there's other methods using coolers and dry ice, but this one works for our small yard and really makes a difference.

The way I do it is I concocted a setup using 4” corrugated drainage pipe arranged with different exits where I want the fog to come out. Then I pass the fog through a rubbermaid container filled with ice. And I use an old hair dryer at the beginning where the fog comes in to push it along. Had good luck with it last year!

If you set the hose or fan a few inches away from the fogger it will draw more air into the tube that will help push the fog through the hose.

I had good luck making a PVC chiller. I used: - 4" x 8-foot pipe - 4" 90° elbow - 4"x2" reducer - 2" tee, with short bit uncapped - And a short length of 2" stock Cut and fit. Spray paint with black Krylon Fusion. Works best concealed in bushes or the like. To use, fill 4" portion with ice or (easiest) frozen 20 oz bottles of water. Put small end *riiight* next to fog machine output and start 'er up. You may have to replace the water bottles a couple times over the course of an evening.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on ultra sonic foggers, especially the big ones with 10 heads on them. I've experimented with the single head/disc ultrasonic humidifiers for my indoor plants and they can put out some decent fog which also stays low to the ground. Anyway, I actually bought an AC inline fan by accident thinking it was a regular PC fan and I might use it for this. Though I don't currently own a fogger, that might be a future purchase when I see some sales. Great video as always!

There is another thing you could try to keep the fog more compact. I've recently seen a trick by Norm from Adam Savage's channel Tested, where he lead the fog through a piece of open cell foam. The result is a dense fog creeping over the floor. But since he made the test with a micro fogger, I'm not sure if this would work on a larger scale with your fog machine.

For clarity this isn't how I would set it up, but rather just shows it's application. 8 feet worth of ducting really doesn't serve much purpose in a haunt setting, however, if you needed to push for 20' this would be a good build to improve fog distribution.
