Also the first for host stations WVUE (New Orleans) and WXXV (Gulfport-Biloxi, Miss.)
Was way more immersive back in the day, unlike these days where the production is so over the top and the ramblings of former players and coaches is a never ending incessant stream of a headache...this was a breath of fresh air and great memories. Not only as a life long Patriots fan but as a sports fan in general!
Old classic super bowl logos amazing
James Brown hasn’t aged in 24 years!
The way Wayne Simmons walks out for his introduction...that dude was intense. 😳😲😡 R.I.P.

I know New England had studs on defense, but the way Green Bay had their defensive intros, it was like they were the menacing and like monsters.

"If a face could only talk" 😂 classic Summerall
"The Turnaround Man" Bill Parcells, alongside Bill Belichick..
What a great video! This type of introduction blows away what they do today. Excellent add to KZread.
It's been at least a decade since they played a SuperBowl in the SuperDome, thats too long. Its about more than the stadium, it's about the whole setting and new orleans is magic
I was 20 watching my first Packer SB, and Wayne Simmons about made me faint walking out. I was ready to tear a kitten apart…didn’t care that day!
Gilbert Brown coming out gyrating tho! 😂 🙌🏾💯

He was an absolute unit! Imagine being a running back, carrying the ball up the middle and you gotta try to get past HIM!
Interesting! Never noticed they introduce the Pats D from front to back and the Packers D from back to front (logically because they wanted Reggie to get his moment, which he absolutely deserved)
I was 3 months old
The first super bowl I remember watching. I was 3 going on 4 years old.
Those Patriots uniforms were sweet
The NFL has the full game on its official KZread channel, but it cut out the Patriots' offensive lineups during the Pats' first possession.
I can't help but feel a tad bit awkward watching the live player introductions at the Super Bowl because if you listen closely enough, there's a chance that you'll hear some uncensored f-bombs delivered by the amped up layers.
9 of those Patriots would be back for super bowl 36 Drew Bledsoe Troy Brown* Ted Johnson * Tedy Bruschi* Willie Mcginest* Ty law* Lawyer milloy Otis Smith Adam vinatieri* *would stick around for super bowls 38 and 39 The defense was the cornerstone for the 2000s dynasty

@@wilnerolivier7971 I would’ve put terry glenn on that list but he spend the majority of the season on suspension due to bad conduct. Belichick doesn’t screw around with those issues. Though Bledsoe got a ring, he felt betrayed deep down. Put 9 seasons on your belt plus an extension only for a freak accident to happen and a backup exceeds expectations.

@@edwinverzosa7655 Backup exceeding expectations is a nice way of putting!! But seriously the credit has to go to Brady for taking the job & never relinquishing it. Before the '01 season Brady was originally supposed to the 3rd QB on the Pats depth chart behind Bledsoe & Damon Huard because of where he was drafted & being unproven. He was challenged by one of the coaches who left a notebook in the training facility that Brady curiously decided to read which detailed his deficiencies & shortcomings with respect to his development as a quarterback. Brady took that challenge to heart by focusing on the areas in his game that needed the most improvement in order to have any chance of success. He went into training camp that season & impressed teammates with his improved play as a result of his off season work which led coaches to naming him the #2 QB behind Bledsoe. Bledsoe if anything felt somewhat entitled because of being a former #1 overall draft pick who was at that point the face of the franchise who thought because of being a 3 time pro bowler who took his team to a Super Bowl appearance & was recently rewarded with an insane contract that he was going to get his gig back when healthy. But by that point the team was responding well to Brady being under center that it would've been foolish & irresponsible for Belichick to pull him from the lineup just to appease Bledsoe & his big ego. After coming up short in Super Bowl 31 & not performing all too well Bledsoe especially after coming in for an injured Brady in the AFC championship game win against the Steelers in which he & the special teams played a role in securing that Super Bowl berth. Bledsoe thought that he was probably going to start that game without realizing that if Brady recovered & was deemed healthy that he was going to be the starter. Not being able to start the Super Bowl truly stung Bledsoe because he so desperately wanted a shot at redemption in a game that he lost 5 seasons earlier to the Packers which happened to have taken place in the same building as Super Bowl 36(Louisiana Superdome). Only recently Bledsoe started wearing his Super Bowl ring because for such a long time he felt that he didn't have anything to do with helping the team win without realizing the way he conducted himself as a pro by helping Brady & being a good teammate by being the scout team QB in assisting the defense in preparation in facing the opposing team's QB. He more than earned the right to proudly wear that ring.

@@wilnerolivier7971 had New England lost to Oakland, Brady would’ve been on the market and went back to Bledsoe. When the bills visit foxboro, Bledsoe gets the loudest cheer. Pats nation always say Bledsoe will be a patriot at heart

@@edwinverzosa7655 That's one of the great "what ifs" in NFL history more less sports history!! I don't know if you watched the recent 30 for 30 about the "Tuck Rule" game in the snow against the Raiders. But if you did Brady said something in the film that prior to the controversy surrounding that play which was that he didn't see that the Raiders were in a blitz formation & he should've changed the play call at the line of scrimmage. What was also interesting that he said that had Bledsoe because of his experience been in that situation then he would've made the adjustments at the line to avoid the blitz. Charles Woodson who also was in the film with Brady asked him what would've happened had the Pats lost to the Raiders to which Brady responded that there's a chance that either he would've been possibly an ex-Pat with Bledsoe reclaiming the job or there would've been a competition between the 2 for the starting job in training camp for the '02 season. I believe that even if they lost that it's likely that Brady would've still been the starter because he was younger & was cheaper to build around compared to Bledsoe who was older & had a contract that was an albatross around the Pats finances when it came to signing or re-signing players. But as I said it's definitely one of the great "what ifs" that we'll never get the answer to because if that were the case then we would've never saw the rise of Brady into being arguably the greatest QB of all time.
