hey dude... That controller mod is very interesting.... I have upgraded my orange73's battery and I will be posting a video on that... It's great to see others modify their ZG's as well... I mostly see z1 videos on youtube, and ours are very different. I'm hoping one day I can bring my orange bike to your orange country and visit the HQ myself!

Hi, I have a ZG. I really want to upgrade to a thumb throttle and I’m not bothered about the screen. Do I have to still Replace the controller to match with the thumb throttle and pedal assist ring thing? Thanks you

Hey! Nice video. Got the exact same bike and absolutely enjoying it. A question, would it work if I just set up a thumb throttle and connect it instead of the power controller that allows to switch into the 3 modes? This to prevent any solding or complicated stuff as I m a new noob in this. Doing a lot of uphill and lots of times the motor just starts to assist too late or just lacks a bit of power to get me up there. Thanks and looking forward to your reply!

Hello Roger Stock controller does not support thumb throttle If you realy wan't thumb throttle you have to change the controller of the bike ;-) Have a nice one!

Sorry for the late reply ... I used a different tumb throttle. . They all use a 3 pin connection but for the ZX you need a bafang connection (round plug) or you have to cut wires and connect them without a plug ... greetings 😆

Hi! Do you have any more details about replacing the controller ? Do i need to cut any wires and solder them back.. Do i need to remove the old PAS sensor ect ect.. mag ook gewoon in het Nederlands :D TNX!

Zo makkelijk is het niet helaas... je moet de controller (Computer) die in de bike zit vervangen dan is het mogelijk om duimgas te gebruiken... kan met huidige accu... PAS sensor moet BTW ook vervangen worden als je er een andere controller in zet. Succes man....

Hello Christian. .. the controller on the ZG got NO option for a tumb throttle. .. so you have to change the controller if you want to add a throttle. .. the pas (peddle assist) sensor on the ZG got a 5 wire connection the (new) controller using a 3 wire system so you also have change the ZG pas sensor with a sensor with 3 wire system. ..

@@JockTheRockiT Thank you so much for the answer ! I ordered the controller, display and thumb thruttle. I have seen another video on how to rewire the motor cable to the controller I guess i'll have to rewire the breaks as well, as the cables on the ZG seem to connect to one big cable with the ZG display ? Or maybe i don't need the electricle breaks and can just use the normal breaks Sorry for all the questions, i'm new at this stuff

Hello Christian... If you gonna cut the Motor cable from the ZG you will find 9 wires.. these will match-up in color with the (new) controller, then you have to wire the brake cable's yourself... (the ZG using E-bus cable's between the controller and the LED display/brakes/PAS).. the brake needs only a 2 wire cable, also you have an option for lights (Hold the UP button) these are also 2 wire cable's (plus and minus) The PAS sensor got 3 wire's so if you want to use PAS then you need to replace the ZG PAS sensor also.. Nice feature: if you are riding with the Tumb-Trottle you can hold the Down button and it will switch on Cruise Control! ;-) PS: If you get the same controller as I got then you will notice that the controller got 2 plugs/connectors on it.. one on the display output and one on another (2 wire) cable.. this is the keylock.. leave this plug/connector in/on! this is the ON state.. if you wanne use a keylock then if you turn the key to off the wire's will disconnect and the controller will not turn on .. ;-) Some DATA: With the (7,8 Ah) ZG battery i get around 15KM with tumbi drive only.. and around 22KM with PAS (using Tumbi not to often) Good luck with your build!! You need to rebuild all the electronics then... and it's a bit small this bike... so if you are above 175cm I think you are better of with a bit bigger then the ZG

hello I also have a super73zg and I have a problem with my bottom bracket support sensor I think at least there is a white transparent sight glass on it or an LED light I don't know but tired of being pressed on the bottom bracket in a certain position or does it not matter? I would like it if you know so I can get him to do it again

Je moet de kabel die uit het wiel komt compatible maken met de output van de nieuwe controller... dus de drie hoofd draden en alle 5 fasen draden... even uitzoeken en dan zou het moeten werken! succes

Mooie upgrade ik zelf heb een giant xtc rs 2003 met 500w motor en een 48v 13ah accu ik rij er gemakkelijk 42km per uur mee

Bedankt! Ik haal met goed fietsen 50Km/h met alleen duimgas haalt ie rond de 45km/H. .. zeer tevreden met de motor 😆

Hello Vesper... I've used the cable so I did not had to cut any wire from the 73 Controller... and the 73 PAS sensor got 5 wires.. you need one with only three cable's for this controller..
