編劇很棒 演員很認真 這劇的吻戲都很美或讓人感動，完全沒有臉紅心跳的感覺，尤其最後這一段，看了讓人很傷心也很開心 11終於承認愛上01了,01終於等到11承認愛上他

松松不是最美，但是演戏感觉真的很用心，过去和小哇配合的很多美女都是只有脸，但是演技不在线，凭白无辜拖累了小哇。小哇真的演戏很用心

Even though the kiss scenes aren't a lot, everytime they kiss it's just such a beautifully flawless scene. I love this couple so much. Also the OST!!!! IT'S SO GOOD, so soft and sweet. Always perfect in their romantic moments

In the last episode, I cried when they just looked at each other as he came to visit her in the prison. I could feel how much they (husband and wife) understood one another with no need to say a word. This is the first time I’ve known them. Love their talented skills ❤️ They not only act but also sing very well!

I love Wallace. His character in General and I was also awesome. You should check it out. I've seen Seven Tan in a lot dramas and she never fails to impress. If you haven't watched Under the Power, I'm so jealous. I wish I could erase my memory and watch it all over again.

@@LadyTyvreon I saw some short clips of Under Power and I admire Seven because in this movie, she is hilarious and “under power.” I still love her and Wallace’s characters in The Sword and the Brocade more. Though we nowadays and people at that time have different pressure, love still empowers them to go through hardships. I learned some values of culture from the dialogues the stars said.

There are not many kiss scenes in this drama but each time it happened, it was executed flawlessly.. we can clearly see so much different emotion in each tender kiss.. from the stolen kiss on her forehead, to the first tentative kiss.. right to the epic kiss scene in episode 35.. absolute perfection.

I totally agree. This was by far my favorite kiss...he engulfed her especially when he realized that she loved him too. All of his emotions...and love was in this one kiss....it was epic.

I mean this is the best kiss scene of Asian drama I mean across the Asia 💖💖💖such sincerity, such an emotion, such a deep love, such a feeling toward each other excellent acting, absolutely superb job. Omg cannot stop watching this drama again and again.....love Beautiful eyed 😍talented Tan Songyun and Wallace. Wallace did awesome job way better chemistry than General & I with Angelababy. I didn’t feel anything from her.

This is one of the most realistic ancient chinese drama I have seen. I kinda believe this story might happen at that era, unlike 99.9% of dramas we see. Are there any "realistic" dramas to recommend? I desperately need to get rid of my addiction for The Sword and the Broccade...

Highly recommend story of minglan! It definitely starts a bit slow but in my opinion the slow beginning lays the ground work for some of the best characterizations I’ve ever seen in a cdrama. It also shows very well the culture and way of living during that time period.

agree!! i think this is the most romantic love story i've ever seen. how their love grow slowly and out of respect. not because how they "fall into each others arm and stare into the eyes" routine. you can feel their emotions. such a good script and actors.

Realistic? How can we know? The Sword and the Brocade is based on a Chinese novel where the FL is some sort of time traveler, who migrates into Shuyi's dead body, just after dying. Time traveling is or was not allowed anymore on Chinese television. If I remember correctly the real Shuyi was killed. So this new Shuyi with transmigrated soul had ideas about being a free, emancipated, independent working woman and monogamy. Mostly ideas from our time, not from back then. Her husband started to like her - in the book - because she turned him on, he liked it when she was winning debates with him, had a sharp mouth, behaved differently, not docile, from other women. In the novel she tried not to get pregnant by making a sex schedule for her husband, she determined when her husband had to sleep with wich concubine, and when he could visit her bed. She received him in her sleeping quarters when she was not fertile. In the book they had real sex since the marriage. He raped her, forced her, in their wedding night. This raping, or violent forcing her to have sex, occurred in the series too in the wedding night. When you see flowers, bees, a male hand plucking a flower, it refers to something sexual. Wc is great at acting as the kind of kisser women dream of.

@@sweetlyplated I am watching the story of Minglan. The first 20 episodes are slow but then it gets really interesting. Full of life lessons. I love it, thank you for introducing me to it.

But noone gives a credit to the director too! The lead couple is very good at their roles but the directing is also great! Cant understand the satisfaction i feel while Wallach kissing... 🤭
