I think this drama is really beautiful, most is the sacrifice of Hou ye for his whole family, sacrifice his life for loving shi yi niang wholeheartly, and second is Shiyiniang sacrifice her whole life also for xu family and luo family, also sacrifice her life to save Hou ye and family. It's about love, sacrifice, compassion, no selfish at all. What big heart of Xu ling yi and Shi Yi Niang. They are the hero for their family. Their love is the most beautiful, sacrifice for each other.

Same here. I cant remember how many times i watched this scene. But every now and then i cant help but cried.

If I could ever dream of love it would be as heartfelt as this. The writers are amazing in giving us expressions of love. The actors deliver superbly.

Shiyi is one of the strongest person to have endured so much injustice. She always put other people above herself. This scene had me in tears. The way they love and support each other is endearing. She trust him so completely. He's going to move heaven and earth to save her life.

I liked very much the concept of the drama The Sword and The Brocade.. well done scriptwriters directors staff and of course the actor &actress.The best thing that amazed me when he ordered that there will be no more concubines as well as his brother.. nicely done it should be the case so there will never be conflicts to arise. Hoping for a next season of this drama..So many learned lessons I have learnt. I have watched this for three times already. Thanks and God bless

I agree. I watched this a few weeks ago for thr fourth time and am now on my second watching of Love Like the Galaxy (another great one). Then i'll start The Long Battle and Rule the World which i'm told are stunning too.

I would've listed his merits but I chose to simplify my post because I can be long winded when I talk about this series...lol he's the one person that knew her character from beginning to end. It took him a minute to realize that she wasn't like her sister/his concubines. Once he fell in love with her...there was no turning back. Even before he fell in love with her..he had her back. He's the only person in the Xu family that really appreciated her. The rest of the family slowly came around. It was the great Madam that held out until the bitter end before she saw Shiyi's true worth. It only took Shiyi sacrificing herself for the family.
