Even though Mecha Sonic is from Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Super Mario Bros Z is what made him icon. He'll even the Sonic IDW Team know that.

when smash ultimate modding gets advanced enough, someone should make a Captain Basilisx mod

SMBZ Mecha... the tank of tanks. I also like that he has a Scrapnik alt, as SMBZ gets referenced for the first time in official Sonic media during the Scrapnik comics.

Not sure if you’re the one animating these custom moves, but if you are, be sure to give them some more impact. A lot of moves like his uptilt, f smash and down smash look a lot less strong then they are because there’s no oomf to the animations. Other than that, amazing job

Thanks Actually I would like to enhance those, but I'm just starting out in animation, with no training, and I have to admit that I've already had a hard time making something """clean""" . So even though I'm aware of the lack of impact, I left it like that for simplicity's sake. But anyone who want to help by enhancing these animations is welcomed

Seeing the moveset seems mostly based around Samus, but he does have some Ganondorf moves too oddly enough. However I will say it seems almost absurd how much some of his attacks do, especially that fully Charged F-Smash.

Surprised he doesnt have a mobe where he shoots the energy rings while hovering in the air like the S&K3 final boss fight. I guess cuz he needs to be super form to do it.

Aaaaaah!!! This is SO cool! The nostalgia! One move change I'd make is with side special. Instead of using missiles like Samus, if his side special was the minigun instead, which when let go fires a super missile would be really cool. Maybe he stays in place when using it, can angle it whilst being on the ground stationary (or it tracks opponents) and can use it in the air for a bit of momentum. The air version would end without the missile also, to encourage short hop side b pressure, like a Fox blaster! In super mode, his minigun could potentially change into faster rocket spam. Other than that, I think this mod is amazing! One Q also: is his super mode temporary/is there a drawback to using it all the time?

This is a really cool mod! Glad you're bringing Mecha Sonic to life! However i just have a few nitpicks but its not meant to downgrade the mod: I really like how he teleports when he's dodging on the ground. However he just have a normal air dodge. I feel like it would've been cool if he teleports during his air dodge as well. Ik this may not be possible getting it to look smooth and in order to do that, you'll have to remove the endlag, which will make him broken lol. Idk if its just me but his UAir seems kinda weak. I'm guessing its supposed to be a combo move instead of a strong anti-air, or it has a big weak spot. Up-tilt seems like it's a good combo starter, but the animation seems a little janky/off to me. The animation doesn't fit him, but its a nice move regardless. Mecha Sonic does have the ability to fly (or float) so giving him the float mecahnic from Peach/Daisy would've been cool. Really like how his spindash is different from Sonic's. Its very quick and it's a good 'get off me' tool. Its not necessary but having the ability to charge it for more power/greater distance would be nice. That's just the few I have, but all-in-all it's a really cool mod and you did a really good job regardless. I don't know if this is the finalized product, but he looks like an actual character in the game and I can't wait to test him out!

Actually I agree with most of your points. But...: -Air teleport would not looks good imo -Uair is a combo move yes, and all other aerial are really strong, so he had to be tempered -I hate that Utilt animation, but I'm not an animator, so it was difficult for me to get a good result that is matching 1) the required speed of the move and 2) the u tilt hitbox. I'll try to enhance it but I can't promise anyting (the aniamtion itself is taken from SMBZ btw, that's a move he did in the saga) -Don't you think that he's already broken enough? lol -This move has been very difficult to make according to the coder, he can't do that much.

@@unRandomSm64 Lol, I know, I was speaking about the side smash only. If we speak about the whole character, no he isn't balanced. I must admit I never took a look to damages when we had it under developpment, that's the coder's choice. Imo, the moveset is fun to play, just not competitive.

Does this work with the CSK collection?

Although Semi Super Mecha Sonic's Moveset is Same. Does it do any Different For example Extra Damage.
