I always thought that too about about Bowser's trophy. I remember seeing that for the first time and thinking "Whoa, did... Bowser just die permanently? O_O"

Charizard always felt like one of those characers that should've always been in Melee, like Wario, Diddy Kong and Wolf.

Couldn't agree more. I feel like they should've excluded Jigglypuff, Pichu & Young Link & added at least a few more different characters for variety

@@rad_iguana64 Well, no, that's not how it works. Those are all characters that didn't take as long to create as unique characters. Well, Jiggs took a bit more time probably, but she still took a lot of assets from Kirby. Excluding Pichu and Young Link wouldn't have done anything to add new unique characters. Melee's development time was just WAY too short unfortunately.

@tedgonzalez985 oh I see now. It was more that they rushed the development of the game a bit & wanted to make characters that didn't involve too much detail. That makes sense. I guess the hype for the game must've been pretty demanding. It still would've been cool to see a few different characters even still
