The last of these fighters came out 2 weeks ago, and it was one that was planned for game since who knows when: Sora of Kingdom Hearts. I don’t know if we’re getting another game after Ultimate, but considering “ultimate” means “final,” it’s safe to say, as OP stated, the series really has reached its Final Destination.

@@bitronic6706 Not really that outlandish. Smash was supposed to end at Melee. Then Nintendo gave Sakurai an ultimatum basically forcing him to work on Brawl. Sakurai says that he doesn't plan on making a new Smash game but thats not his choice since Nintendo owns it. We'll most likely get a new game in like 4 or 5 years but it will not be close to the size of Ultimate.

Can We appreciate how well Lucas, Ness and Sonics finals smashes went with the stage

Brawl might have been disappointing from a competitive point of view, but holy snap everything else was insane. The music, the realistic artstyle, an actual Story mode, a huge amount of extras. This game had it all, and I wish that future smash games had kept Brawl's style of content. While the gameplay in future entries is better, subspace was the magnum opus of the series and will probably never be topped

To be honest the problem with Ultimate's campaign is that you get to pick your fights. You don't suck it up and work it out with your roster, you just find a different path until your buffs are sufficient to make it not an uphill battle. I beat every single fight in the game while having only 2 skills unlocked, the majority of my time being as Solid Snake.

@@greenboyzgaming5607 Basically, it's way too easy because late game doesn't constrain your roster and early game gives you easy to use characters, eventually becoming a game of "find the straggling spirits in a tedious game of whack-a-mole so you never have to play this again", rather than "literally save the entire universe against all odds".

That and the fact that the entire "story" is just running around a flat board game for 25 hours collecting PNG images in repetitive and less interesting event matches. There are no side scrolling levels like in subspace, only one section at the VERY end of the campaign and it lasts like 3 mins. All the bosses are squished in-between 5 hours of PNG hunting. The game rewards spamming the same move over and over and using one single spirit (the best one) once you unlock it so there's no variety. But the biggest disappointment of all, the """"""""""""story""""""""""""" cutscenes (if you can even call them that) are litterally just 2 eyeballs fighting each other for 4 mins, we get litterally zero character interactions outside of the intro cutscenes that we were spoiled to before the game even came out and it's such a shame. I get not being able to have a cohesive story with 80+ characters but make the story make sense, everything is left up to imagination and that's lame. They just dropped the ball super fucking hard and I'd rather them just focus on other modes than try something like WoL again cause it was shit.

They put way more effort than they needed to in the music of this game and they're great for it

This played when two friends played one last smash game before school ended, no timer, 3 stocks, the game lasted for 24 minutes, and ended on a double knockout on sudden death, the two set off on their own paths, never seeing each other again, one moved to Nevada, the other to Florida, that was the game of the Ages.

It's kinda amazing how even to this day, no Final Destination theme has come close to topping this.

The story mode was absolutely stunning, the roster is top tier, and fighting mechanics and stages are some of the best video games have to offer. and last but not least the soundtrack...

It was the first game to introduce third party characters like Sonic and Snake, it was the first game with stage builder, and most of all, it had the best story mode out of all of the games. World of Light can’t compare! Melee may have been better for competition but Brawl easily had the edge when it came to atmosphere and tone. It was different and unique. It was dark, emotionally gripping, memorable, and just plain fun (although, that last part is completely subjective).

ultimate feels like a splendid, joyful, energetic and lively reunion of the franchise. On the other hand, brawl feels like an epic, gorgeous battle that will go down in history. I think both of them are some of the best games without saying.

I used to think it was ‘’AH IT’S SPONGEBOB, MINI MINI BOOTS’’

at 2:00, after the beautiful shift in tone of the intense atmosphere is done, it returns back to the intensity, and with a very very great drum solo. It's around this part where the match would start to get the most serious it ever could. At least for me. I love this part of the song, just goes to show how amazing and different smash brawl was.

This definitely gives off a "dramatic final fight" vibe, and I LOVE IT. This isn't just a fight, it's a fight for the universe, the battle to decide the fate of humanity itself!!

This is absolutely not the best _Smash._ I have many a fond memory with _Brawl,_ but every other game sans the original trumps it in almost every single way.

I never realized how much passion was put into this game's soundtrack until years later, songs like this send me BACKKK to when I was in Elementary with this being my first Smash game

0:43-0:54 definitely my favourite bit of the song. Fits the space vibe really well.

You've fought your way through the stories saving the most you can while seeing your friends become lifeless statues. You see the world being consume by heartless monsters into the endless void. All this fighting from does to friend in order to return peace in this chaos. Deserts to jungles to abandoned caves you've gone through it all. You make it after Kirby destroyed the mother ship making Bowser and Ganondorf retreat. You enter the void that consumed your home and your world you've fought to protect. You go through this maze of Oblivion where everything stays but everything moved at the same time. You go through all the places, all the memories, all the tears, sweat, and blood for fighting what you believe in being corrupted boils your blood. Dedication to bring this monster down once and for all. You meet Tabuu face to face seeing what truly a disgusting monster he is. You pick your top fighters and completely reck him. After all his menace from consuming the world to manipulate and holding captive of the Master Hand it's over. You watch him sizzle away into the light. Everything goes back to normal. Your home is back, your friends are back and alive as ever, your enemies cheer on a day of immense victory. Final destination is truly a day where freinds and enemies can come together in the light staring off from a cliff into the ever expanding sky and ocean conjoining together become one.

The best Final Destination EVER. This is magnificent, I feel like when everything is almost over, but have a little hope in our hearts.

Oh man I can’t get enough of this version, brings me back to when my brother first got this game and we played non stop, like hours on end until we had to sleep for school. Truly one of the games of all time

Never played this game competitively so the goofy mechanics never bothered me. This game still has my heart always 😁

The basic translation is this: I've heard legends of him, He jumped into the frenzy and saved his people, I've heard legends of him, And how he ran through destroying all he touched All you really missed was the refrain. "Audi famam illius" literally means "I've heard of him"

Every Smash soundtrack after Brawl couldn't compare. That's how good this Final Destination theme is. No matter how many Smash games come out in the future, they will ALWAYS be compared to this one. In Smash 4 and Ultimate, I set most of the music to Brawl's version of FD, Battlefield, Menus, etc.

@@SonINK No, Kirby games have average soundtracks. The reason Brawl's soundtrack was amazing was because the main theme was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, the composer for Final Fantasy.

I first heard this when i was 6 and it still gives me chills. Smash bros brawl is my personal favorite of the franchise.

I remember back in 2011 as a kid with only a wii and no internet. This was the only game I would play for hours on end. The memories :')

What a mood. Online was a helluva time tho. I wished you experienced the joy I did. Practicing with almost every character offline. Then playing for hours on end until your fingers hurt. Good times.

Honestly this was the best Final Destination music. It hasn’t been topped yet.

Such an amazing piece. It has everything! Latin chanting supported by an orchestra. With some rock/metal sprinkled in for flavor. With a badass synthesizer segment. It has a little something or everyone.

Ya I love Ultimate but Brawl went hard with the music especially this one. Also KZread captions back then were incredible. Kids will never know what this was like to see them. lol

Man 2008-2010 so many online matches here on Nintendo trash wifi but back then it was the best thing ever

I don't think any of the future Smash games could beat this, at least not yet. As much as I want that to happen, it's very difficult to create a song such as this version of Final Destination that keeps the tension and excitement of battle in it the way it does. The day it does happen, though, I think we'll all agree that we're still gonna listen to this one every now and then.

Imagine hating a game just for not being competitive.

I still play Brawl's final destination theme in Ultimate. It's just too good. It brings back a lot of memories from the Brawl era

It's been a lot of years, and it's still very high. I love such songs

2020: The Final Destination Our Battle will be legendary

2022 and this is still the best Final Destination theme.
