Super Robot Wars V (EN) - Titans Join, Shin Dragon & Birth of Tenku (Stage 40)

The team learns about the origins of Great Mazinger and the Mazin Emperor G, Akatsuki gives the team half a million and if conditions were met, Lane, Yazan and Jerid will join the team with Jerid and Kamille burying the hatchet. Hilda confesses to Ange who accepts her feelings. Before the team can leave however, Shin Getter Dragon gets hijacked by Dr Saotome. After Dr Saotome is defeated, Embryo arrives to take Shin Dragon but Saotome isn't having any of that. Go, Kei and Gai soon take control of Shin Dragon and one-shots Embryo like he was nothing.
Once all enemies are defeated, the team finally has a name in the form of 'Earth Fleet Tenku' and begins its journey towards Iscandar.

Being such a short scene and Zeta not really being shown any of it's plot, the exchange between Kamille and Jerid is probably my favorite scene in the entire game. It just really feels like would both would say if changes in the actual series were different and they had a meeting like this.

Nonsense. if this game has taught me anything, its that shooting shit with a Getter beam from a giant robot makes everything better. Just ask Evangelion! :D

Honestly, I really like what the team did to Great Mazinger here. It could almost be a Shin Great anime. The only thing missing are Jun and the rest of Mycenae Generals.
The first sentence of the video made me realize they backed down a bit on the "Hmm" abuse since the beginning of the game, odd how the translation progresses like someone learning to translate better :D

Final fight against Embryo needs to have Mazinger ZERO, Mazin Emperor G, Shin Getter Robo and Shin Getter Dragon literally surround/trap Embryo

Nah, leave Getter Dragon out of this and find the next best thing. Embryo doesn't deserve to have even a single gal nearby when he gets crippled to mincemeat.

To be fair, Maito and Banjou do spend a lot on standard maintenance and keeping up supplies as is(especially when one has an entire team of sentient mechs under him and the other has one that's 120m tall), never mind upgrades. That said, Akatsuki is stingy. o3o

I realized that V really made the effort to animate the dynamic kills with the cut-ins(or is it cut-end? :v) tho I find some of the animation to be a bit lacking...but I guess that's my opinion

Embryo being asshole as always eh? At least we finally get to use Shin Dragon now. Looks like Getter will be the energy guiding us to Iscandar

Know what attack the shin dragon should have the next time its in a game? Its own version of shine spark like the version in SRW D, Ending with the shine spark rush combined with its getter tomahawks

the shin dragon is formed by thousands of getter machines, a "regular" change would have it dissolving into a swarm and then reforming in a new configuration.

That would be an amazing attack watching it seperate and bombard the enemy with getter beams before reforming in its other forms

yeah, maybe it can work.... and don't forget that those getter machines can form a regular getter g if combined by the 3, that means hundreds of regular getter dragon/liger/poseidon.
