Fantastic stage overall. Plot building and character development for Ange and dimension hopping, little jokes about how different protagonists have vastly different combat approaches, FMP hamminess and charm with Sousuke doing his best for Chidori and taking on threats by ANY means, mascot rivalry, mascot praise, Akito being a dear and encouraging keeping up harmless illusions, a- "Let's you and me pay a visit to the world of dreams!" "You're so cute! I want to stuff and mount you!" STRANGER DANGER!!! D: ... And a fitting mini-arc about distant friendships coming together and cope with hard times... Oh, and Salia being a massive closet geek again; That was grand. :U

Bonta-kun wowing characters from so many different series never gets old. It also never stops being hilarious, seeing it even breaks the mindset of sentient robots! Also, a Patlabor song? It's a rather unusual song choice, for the most part the custom songs picked made sense from a reference standpoint, but that choice is more curious than usual. Maybe it's a noble reminder that Patlabor needs to be in more SRW games...?

Yes, it made its debut (and only appearance thus far) on OE. Because OE was overlooked by many, no doubt because of its "freemium"-esque gameplay, most people tend to forget that debut...

The "freemium" thing, Harlan? Well, it's the fact most chapters in that game had to be bought by the player in order to progress through the game's story. It certainly wasn't like your average SRW game, and since most of its assets were taken from the other 3D-based SRW games, most people ignored it in favor of other games...

I wonder how Rayearth characters will react when they meet the FMP Bonta-kun, in the next game.

The game's joke unit appears and hilarity ensues. (Don't tell Bonta-kun I said that; he is an awesome character.)

For some reason I thought that the a team theme was playing when bonta kun appeared. XD

I guess you're not aware yet? Tokkou Yarou(Bonta-kun's theme) is an homage/parody of the A-Team theme. In fact, Tokkou Yarou: A-Team is the full title of the Japanese dub for that old gem. o3o/)

Also can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact that they took a whole bunch of very serious series like Gundam and Gundam seed and Yamato and Fullmetal panic and all that, and then put it alongside Cross Ange, which is lewd as hell... Also yes I know, bonta-kun is not from the more serious part of Fullmetal panic, but yeah, the rest of that series got a little dark. And the books got real interesting.

i miss patlabor :(

Bonta kun is a homage to many things. His theme is a homage to the A-Team. Yeah, he is commander type like Zakus... Even the colour scheme is almost alike.

That's kind of the point, he's a parody character and has about a thousand different homages built into his design, it's delightfully hilarious. Also they reused the character design entirely for Amagi Brilliant Park. Which, if you haven't seen it, you should watch. It's the source of that macro image that people use a lot, the one that says "simply put, we need to go lewder"
