Damn shame that they didn't include Kouji using the Iron Cutter in close range as an attack from the movie or the Double Rocket Punch or the Double/Triple Mazinger Blade or the Rust Hurricane or the Reito Beam. There's a lot of attacks that they skipped.

I have to admit, Mazinger Z (Infinity) got shafted in this one. Maybe they forgot that Mazinger Z can fight at close range and they forgot to give it at least a basic melee attack like some punch or kick, and I have to say that the Iron Cutter not being one of those melee attacks which are even shown in the game is gonna leave any Mazinger Z fan feel like everything about the unit is lacking.

Still not as badass as Zero and VA is ok but I still prefer shin Mazinger Koji's VA. I can see some messing attacks like close combat Iron Cutters, Rocket punch and Photonic Beam plus the All out attack is just a lame strong attack imo where you don't see anything special with poor elements. Koji isn't strong in infinity while he is a badass in Shin because in infinity the Mazinger is the one who is getting the attack increase buff.

Majinger Infinity version of Kabuto Kouji voice... I can only hear Shikamaru... XD but in all fairness, this Kabuto Kouji is already an adult who's been living for years as a scientist... so I guess he just lost that "hot-bloodedness" in his voice. :p

As much as I'm disappointed we didn't have a number of the kick ass attacks from the movie it is nice to see classic Mazinger, well future, and I love the designs of the Mazingers and Mechanical Beasts.

Mazin Emperor G will always be my favorite just because of how badass it looks. Mazinkaiser and Zero are just as badass, but I hold Mazin Emperor G as one of my absolute favorites.

@@jeremyweinberg6218 I don't think there are many super robots that outshine it that much. Dimension jumping, assimilation, Causality Weapon and not needing reality to exist really puts it up there with TTGL, shin getter and getter emperor.

Good, but i want Shin Mazinger back, since i feel that the VA choice in Shin Mazinger is way better than Infinity, Ashura voice was literally perfect in Shin Mazinger dunno why they change it.

@Chandelier Mirage I don't know why you are saying OG as it is clearly another reboot. VAs are different, characters personality and Mazinger Z aren't the same as the OG, maybe the story states a continuation but it is clearly another reboot.

@@AA21A in the old canon Hell ended up working for Mycene, and the defeat of the Mycene empire was followed by the invasion of the Vega empire, but in the movie there's no mention of any of it, therefore it has to be another reboot.

Could be the 3rd upgrade (After Emperor G) for Tetsuya if, when forced to pilot it, he actually broke free and took control, not unlike Koji who actually got to control and pilot Zero despite the source material. Besides, even the names of Infinity and Zero are complementary opposites; imagine the combo attack they could have.

@@richardshiflett5181 as a big fan of the entire mazinger franchise, I would have to say, it may not be as one sided as you may at first think, as the zero manga dose have zero do more impressive things, we also get to see much more of him, and as for infinity, while we don't get to see as much, what we do get is a robot that very clearly is inspired by zero, and is stated to be able to do much of the same things, given more time, me may have been able to get to see infinity do thing on the same level as zero, but, because it was a film, they very quickly showed a zero like threat and then powered up z to be on a similar level, so saying that it would be one sided is mere speculation, as is saying that it would not be, but its all for interpretation

@@cappuccinocapputeano its hyper ambiguous to weather he can or cant, the manga never says he cant die, in fact they tried to kill it with the mazing emperor g, so for all we know it could be that it was just way too powerful (being beyond time will do that to you) just like what we were told in infinity is capable of in the film

One word: Underwhelming. The mazinger was like a fkn beast in the movie. Here he just seems sooooooo slow and his attacks are so simple. Makes me miss SRW MX where they would combine their less flashy attacks into one more useful one. Like Great throwing a great typhoon and then a rocket punch at the same time. And the 100 team attacks of the Getters xD.

@@Mngalahad In the original Anime, the original Mazinger Z had swords. But he didn't used it as much, it was during that time Go Nagai still couldn't figure what would be Mazinger Z's trademark finisher.

it's not the same anymore, i had many expectations, I knew it was too much for this mazinger, it is very inferior to the powerful mazinger zero and the amazing mazinkaiser, I even prefer the mazinger that can be transformed into a giant fist. I expected that although it was not a very eye-catching robot at least they would put very detailed animations as well as spike and his "Swordfish II", he only has a machine gun and a laser and it seems that they tried too hard to make a good debut.

Other thing than that is that the Shin Mazinger Kouji Kabuto Ace Bonus makes him deal 20% more damage at 130 morale and higher. The Infinity Kouji has different ace bonus
