Exactly what I thought, "we should restart no one wants to watch you fissure everything," then proceeds to clamp/fire spin everything in the next game.

This is exactly how confusing it was when I got Pokemon Blue in 1999. No online guides and I was too young to think it was a good idea to read the book so it was just like this! Haha

How does it work, is every pokemon randomized or are there some particular pokemon slots that are altered? I feel like this is the case for the wild encounters, but I'm not sure about how it works for the trainers.

You need to have the rom and you can download a randomizer patcher. I think it's called the universal pokemon randomizer or something like that. Just google pokemon randomizer and it should come ul

Stats total stays the same, just differently spread so a mewtwo is always gonna be superior to a caterpie

I don’t get the strat to skip all trainers just to loose to Brock a million times then have to waste time training. Why not just fight the trainers to begin with and maybe you wouldn’t be so far behind. I’m only 20 mins into the race so I don’t know how it turns out but seems backward to me🤔

Why is caterpee bad and mewtwo good? If types and stats are random surely it doesn't matter what the pokemon is? Aren't all pokemon equal till you know their stats and type?

The stats are randomized, but the stat TOTAL is still the same, so Mewtwo will always have much better stats than a Caterpie

@@vladthecon true. It seemed to be almost tile for tile as well. Not really a randomizer at that point, and incredibly suspicious as to what they were actually playing. Maybe its just because it was a terrible mod, Ive seen good and bad ones, but this is definitely tipping "not even random"

@@EmceeTimmyT Usually when you randomise a rom it creates a rom, let's call it rom 1 in this situation. Rom 1 is randomised to the extent that you have chosen (you could technically pick the starters you want to appear or you can have them be randomised for example). Now once you have created rom 1, rom 1 is rom 1 and it stays as rom 1, meaning that everything will stay the same, with the starters, trainers pokes, with the wild encounters, the possible wild encounters in each section will be the same aswell. In short, they randomise a rom and then both play the same randomised rom, they are still randomised. Because of the nature of the super randomiser and the versus aspect, it appears to make the race a little fairer (arguably more interesting) as you both have to face the same pokemon with the same randomised stats, in addition to having the same starters and same possible pokes to encounter. These super randomised versus are a little different from other versus nuzlockes series where each player can have a different rom to make it more interesting with variety.

i only watch this oldschool randomizer, though i mostly like things most dont like so maybe you should stop doing this videos, but wait no i actually wouldnt like that :(
