I'm 55 now, and just this past weekend, hooked up my SNES for the first time in at least 15 years to give this game another whirl. I'm not nearly as good now as I was back in the heyday but this particular game is addicting. Whoever is playing the game in this video is clearly an expert and makes things look so easy.

The music instantly make me feel like a kid again. Jesus, life is short and long at the same time.

Look, I've never even wanted to buy the switch until I found it Kirby and pokemon, are going to have new releases on the switch, so I picked up that bad boy and never regretted it since. You see,it's funny how people buy 1000$ phones but don't know how to do Jack shit with it only externally which is charging, putting a popsocket on, and fitting on a case boom that's all to it for them. But will ridicule anybody with a handheld console when in reality they have an expensive wind up phone doll, you know the ones with the painted face haha

The music in this game is perfect

I remember how proud I felt when I fully 100% completed Super Mario World when I was a teenager (when the game originally came out in 1990). It was definitely a challenge, especially given just how many secret levels there were. Unlocking Star Road felt like it was an amazing achievement.

I have a confession to make. This was my very first Mario game. When I started playing I accidentally hit the character switch button and switched to Luigi. I didn’t know how to read yet so I learned the controls naturally playing. But I never figured out or even knew there was a character switch button. So I played the entire game as Luigi thinking he’s the main character. It wasn’t until the final boss that my mother introduced me to the existence of Mario by showing me the button.

As a lifelong gamer in his 40's, I can say that this is still the best game I have ever played and probably will ever play. For me, it is THE masterpiece.

This IS the Game. I wouldn't have played any other game without first playing this ONE. This is pure nostalgia. My dad was watching me playing it with my mom during those very soft, smooth saturday evenings. Still remember those days, and make me cry when coming to my mind those lovely moments :')

I loved these old Mario games so much. Playing them on my dad's old Nintendo was basically my everyday thing when I was younger. This was always one of the best games.

This is so relaxing! I used to play this everyday after school in 1992/ 1993 when I was only just a teenage girl, it was just the game and I, and I had to discover and solve everything on my own, but it was so exciting and wonderful! I loved Yoshi so much that I made a sewing pattern and made a plush toy out of him. That was before all the merchandising products. My second favourite game was Super Mario Kart. I still have my Super NES and the games. I usually don´t use it, but it is there and I would never give it away.

The thing I love most about this game was all of its secrets. Being my first Mario game, it blew me away. There's almost a secret exit every level, a hidden area near the top of Donut Plains with powerups (and in the remaster they have like a secret superhero suit which is a secret in a secret?), then they had Star World. I didn't even realize there was a secret exit in star World until a lot of time later. The final stretch, the final home run, the linear levels, home of the infamous Tubulor. I thought the levels were kinda easy, and when I beat the final stage it changed every enemies skin??? Like what? I wish Nintendo did these kinda secrets a lot more often in their games.

Watching this game breaks my heart...i was 10 :( so happy, got my SNES while on my trip in Melbourne, got Mario, played if for a week straight. Happiest week of my life.

I beat this game when i was like 4 or 5? It was my greatest achievement ever back then and it felt so great. Best of all is i enjoyed every single bit of this game, damn that Overworld Theme got me here.

This is such a trip down memory lane... bring back feelings of when I was 5-6 years old

Thankful my dad decided to keep his super nintendo around for when i was a kid seeing and hearing this game always brings a smile to my face. Always remember how mysterious this game was to me, makes you realize how awesome childhood is.

Ah, the memories. When i got my Super Nintendo Entertainment System i remember asking my parents if i could have 5 games, mom and dad said yes so i got F-Zero, Gradius, Pilotwings, Sim City and Super Mario World. I beat them all and i thought they were great. I still have those games and my Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I will never give them away.

I just got a SNES Classic Edition, and I don't regret it.

I absolutely loved watching this video! I spent my childhood playing this super Mario game on my SNES with my sisters ...

I love this game so much. It really does feel like you’re going on a huge adventure.

I swear 1:54:40 was the greatest mindfuck I've had in a while. I've played the game for years and I never knew that. I always thought that this castle didn't have a checkpoint!

The music is the best part of this game :) and this game was hard as hell!

Favorite game of all time!!!

i remember every level. I played this game when it has just been released. completed all 96 levels in 2 weeks. better than any game that's made today. Mario kart on SNES was also awesome

I really want to see a remake of the original Mario kart.... I just love how it used to control so much better than the games that came afterward. I would play as Koopa Trooper and you could use the L and R buttons to skid and if you let go and mashed the gas just right you could actually get a slight boost. Every other Mario Kart game I've played since has controls I can't be quite as precise with. =/

I love this game. It was my first snes game ever. And not to sound cheesy but it was life changing in 1992.

Damn vivid memories of me walking into Toys R Us with all the money I saved from mowing lawns all summer to buy my Nintendo and Super Mario World!

I’m having an anxiety attack right now and this helps me to calm down, it’s almost like a medicine. Makes me remember back when life wasn’t this bad. Thank you.

Honestly probably the greatest game of all time

As a testament to Nintendos sheer ability to capture a childs sense of imagination and attention, let me say I played this for my 1 yr old daughter and she laughed, smiled, and was completely entertained. Cant wait till shes a little older so she can grow up playing Super Mario World on SNES just like I did almost three decades ago.

Beat this game in the summer of 95 took me a year and half but that feeling of exhilaration when you finally beat is unforgettable 😳😳😱😱🤤🤤🥳🥳

This game is a masterpiece, the gameplay, the music, the sound effects all beautifully crafted. In my Top 10 games ever made no doubt.

There was a man who loved a princess In order to get her, he used finesse His plan was flawless but he needed more power So he hit the block and got a flower He used the flower and his clothes turned white He could shoot with fire and was ready to fight He defeated Bowser and rescued Daisy Mario was happy and so was she ~ Levodaro
