Why did you decide to make the rest of your comment viewable only if users pressed the "show more" button?

Whenever I got up to Bowser, I was prepared for an epic show down. The cracking thunder and flashing lighting set the mood and tone for the boss of bosses. The music amped me up to beat him.

I love how the very last level, just before you get to Bowser is totally dark to where you need a flash light to complete it. That means NOBODY is supposed to be in there.

Omegatran G Worth SMB 3 is good but SMW is better. You don’t have the feather or yoshi in SMB3.

This game brings me back so many good memories. I remember as a kid fighting against bowser and as a kid it used to be so hard, it felt like my biggest challenge by the time 😂 omg I miss my childhood so much! Love super Mario world

Same here! It was so tough for me to beat Bowser. I don't know if it was months or weeks, but when I was finally able to beat it I felt so triumphant. There was so many cool things you could do in this game.

I cant help but get those nostalgic shivers when the pace of the music gets faster.

The endings truly do make you feel sad like you really are saying goodbye to all the hours you spend trying to reach the end.

One of the most menacing Bosses of my childhood. When u very first get to the top of the castle, u see that smiley face balloon and I was thinking "ok that's a creepy boss, but where's Bowser?" And then he pops up with that suspenseful music and u knew u were in trouble on your first encounter

Such a great final boss. It gives off such a “finale” feeling

Ugh childhood memories man. I remember playing this back in 99 at the age of 3 years old. Loved the different colour yoshis.

I like how the game gave even the enemies their encore at the end. Such a fitting tribute!

That Bowser intro music! Still the best of any Mario game, I remember first playing this at aged 11 and hearing that music and then thinking "ok defo in for an ass whipping now!" Bowser looked bad ass in this game, even those little wind up koopers he throws at you look evil.

One of the most epic video game battles of the 90s. I remember watching the commercials for the new SNES and they gave a glimpse of the clown-copter flying towards the screen during the montage. Boy, they really pumped us up on that one. The later came Play Station... Practically putting SNES and Genesis in its shadow!

The most complete super mario game ever. It's really a great adventure. It just gets to all tastes

The 1st video game I have ever beaten, I was in Kindergarten. What I remember most is the ending/credits after you beat bowser and how EPIC the creators make you feel, that this adventure is over... I instantly fell in love with video games.

THIS part of the game WAS INSANE. I remember THIS castle VERY WELL!!!

I would like to recognize Luigi for his outstanding performance as second string throughout this whole game. Thank you Luigi .

I love how instead of having a difficulty slider or "you died X times, here's some help", you can make the game easier by taking your time and exploring the game. Compared to modern games the exploration is quite minimal, but at it's time it was probably incredible to have hidden branching paths. What I love about NSMBU is that it brings back the interconnected map of SMW, with elements of SMB3's maps such as the toad houses and enemies that block your path, and the secret exits that have been in the games since the start.

By far the greatest Mario's game. A truly masterpiece.

My parents got this for me back in 1992-93 or so. My very first video game. I still remember going to the Costco with them and we were picking out the system and game. I love this game.

Man I can't think of any game that has ever topped this in my life. This game along with super mario 3 was my childhood. super mario 1 and 2 as well, but 3 and this was the ones I played the most. Funny how it felt so much harder back then, now I look at the levels and it's like "wow it was short!".

The more I see and play this, the more it seems like something out of Mario Maker. Not necessarily in difficulty, but in design and how things are placed.

As a kid watching someone beat this game was super exciting. Especially when beating the boss levels

Dude Super Mario Bros was Classic. I beat this game many a times. LOL. I was a kid in the 90s playing this game. As a Midwesterner I feel appreciated and nostalgic by the good game. Plus their secret switches and their secret areas. LOL.

Super Mario work is one of my favorites mainly cause of all the different new enemies and the way the gameplay was which was badass for me when I was a little kid 😭😂

After so much effort, time , and will, it’s really emotional to finally finish the game

My favorite video game of all time. My parents had recently divorced, my dad remarried and my stepsister had moved in with us, she had given me her snes along with a copy of super Mario world. I had also recently started kindergarten, so this game really helped bring some joy during a time in which my life was changing rapidly and I was experiencing a lot of stress. The bright colors, the cheerful vibe of some of the levels and music, it was like having an alternative world to escape to where none of the burdens i experienced existed. Super Mario Wonder just released and in many ways feels like a true follow up to this masterpiece.

5:23 this scene has been in my dreams so many times but as a more grand & three dementional thing. I love it

I remember finally, FINALLY defeating Bowser and saving the princess!!! I was so so happy!!!!! This game is the best😊 Super Mario rules!!!!!! And the music was very very cool!

It was brought to my attention that the defeat animation for Bowser in this game is the funny animation for when he’s footstooled and stuff. Nice.

I remember watching my friend beat this as I hadn't gotten an SNES till a little later. The Bowser battle had my jaw drop due to the scaling Clown Car sprite, hadn't seen anything like that before in video games with the NES or Atari 2600.
