The amounts of nostalgia I got from this I can just see 6 year old me playing with my mom and having a blast, some of the most amazing parts of my life and I will always cherish them.

I like Kamella and Giga Lakitu. Tip for Peewee Piranha. If you backflip over him before you break his shell then groundpounding can break all his shell off. If thats too hard then hit the shell like normal and hit it again in the damaged area so it only needs two instead of three.

My childhood right here. This and the Mario and Luigi series. I'll miss you Alphadream...

I remember as a kid i would replay the final bowser battle in smg1 just to hear the music for the final phase. I love that track so much

Ah! Great memories with these games. Even still to this day, the Galaxy games are still my absolute favorite 3D Mario games. Yes. Even more so than Odyssey. As good as that game is, I still prefer Galaxy 1 & 2 more.

Ugh! I hate Bowser's voice in that game.

Is it just me, or do some games from part of the years 2005-2010 just look so amazing that even games no doesn't hold a candle to it. (Except for some Mario games. They always improve over time.) Take Super Mario Galaxy and Sonic Unleashed for example. The visuals are honestly amazing with some of the best music of all time like Gusty Garden Galaxy, the Final Bowser Fight, Endless Possibilities, Rooftop Run, and so many more favorites. Now, the visuals might not look as good in Mario Galaxy compared to Odyssey, but compare a sonic game like Unleashed to Forces. Which game has the better visuals. I say Unleashed is better due to the vast variety of colors from both day and night stages.

You're not wrong. I whole hardly agree with you. Barely any games from Wii U, Xbox One, 3DS & even Switch don't have as much as quality of graphics or presentation as the ones from 2005-2010. They're are an few modern games that looks wonderful in the Switch or PS4 era ( Examples are Dragon Quest 11, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Spider-Man PS4 and few others ). But games today like Sonic Forces, Super Mario 3D World & even Super Mario Odyssey doesn't look as impressive as the ones from 6th or 7th gen console games. And in my honest opinion, Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 are the best looking games out of any 3D Mario games.

Well, that's what stars in the real world do as well. Stars turn into stardust when they die, and then it forms a new star, and that's how the cycle of life of stars work.... and lumas. Lumas sacrifice themselves all the time! Do you realize the hungry luma's transform into a galaxy is actually their sacrifice? A luma transforming into a sling star or launch star? Those are all sacrifices. And even though it may be sad, that's how life works for them.

Kamella’s boss music never ceases to make me get up and jam tbh

I'll be ranking the bosses on how i think of them cause why not. DINO PIRAHNA- this boss was pretty easy, but i liked it. 6/10. Decent difficulty. Not too hard, not too easy. KING KALIENTE #1- for this being the first encounter with king kaliente, i really enjoyed it. 9/10. If it was a bit harder, it would be a 10. MANDIBUG STACK- this boss was just disappointing. Not even a challenge. 1/10.? BUGABOOM- now THIS is what you call a boss fight. Amazing atmosphere, fun fight, and use of the bee mushroom. 10/10. MEGALEG- this is an AMAZING boss fight! I loved the fight, the atmosphere, and the way you had to crawl to the grand star while dodging bullet bills! 20/10. KAMELLA #1- magikoopas grandma. 10/10. Loved the fight! And throwing koopa shells at her to beat her? Amazing! TARANTOX- meh. 6/10. It was pretty easy, if i do say so myself. I had some trouble on it, but i liked the boss fight. TOPMANIAC- 1000/10. THIS FIGHT IS AMAZING! SO MUCH GOOD THINGS ABOUT IT I CANT EXPLAIN! BOWSER #1- 1/10. I don't like Bowser fights. BOULDERGEIST- 200/10. This boss was difficult, but fun. I liked the use of bomb boos to beat him! The timing was tricky, but that doesn't matter. BOWSER JR.- i can't say how good this fight is. 500/10. I'll do more soon.

The music that kicks in after you defeat a boss and you can just see the beauty of the galaxy really left a mark on me as a kid

Both Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 have some of the best bosses from any Mario game, and the boss fights are honestly my favorite part about these two games!

Súper Mario galaxy 1 & 2 all bosses are no damage? Huh. That was no longer.

Defeating Major Burrows is a nightmare on phase 3.

Do I know anyone that uses the Spring Mushroom to fight the electric gunner instead of just backflipping, wall jumping, and spinning? Now I do.

Great nostalgia

i played galaxy 2 for the first time on my birthday this year. its so much fun! and i got galaxy 1 as an early Christmas gift.

I absolutely love Megaleg and Digga Leg, but why do they exist? The only thing Megaleg can do is walk around on his planet and Digga Leg makes less sense because he just kind of exists on this random tiny planet thats about 10 feet wide

i imagine megaleg was specifically built by bowser jr. in an attempt to slow mario down but diggaleg looks like its meant to produce those drill bills that dig through planetoids. maybe more than one diggaleg exists but mario ended up fighting the one conveniently placed on a small disk shaped dirt planetoid. though honestly, mario bosses rarely have any logic applied to them, why does digaleg have those gravity producing panels conveniently placed for mario to climb up to the star cage, why does diggaleg have a massive weak spot at its bottom. half of the stuff that causes the boss enemies to fail at their job is due to having a massive easily exploitable weakspot. but hey, this is a mario game so its kind of meant to be relatively easy to progress.
