It was King Koopa's stage (World 8) in Super Mario Brothers 3 the classic one. Even I myself got scared when I heard this music while playing. Good thing I completed Super Mario Brothers 3 from World 1 to World 8. Memories back then.

I like to think of the OG Doomship as just the prototype for all of Bowser's airships. Undisputedly the most powerful, durable, and terrifying of all of its kind, the Doomship was kept as a museum and recruitment piece after the events of SMB3 because the cost required to maintain it, including the parts of it that were enhanced by magic, was just too damned expensive and would have totally bankrupted Bowser. So he ordered the creation of the smaller and less advanced Airships to serve the purpose. But just in case, should the need arise when the biggest of military guns be needed...The Doomship is there, ready to do what it was built to do and lay waste to the Mushroom Kingdom, Sarasaland, the Beanbean Kingdom, and anyone else foolish enough to defy the Koopa King.

Is there an extended version? Cuz holy shit this theme belongs in a movie of super mario it's so terrifying and amazing

This remix is tight

A shadow befalls the Mushroom Kingdom as a massive doomship flies overhead while Mario and his new allies hunt for the gems of power from another world, this new ship a technology beyond Bowser's capability. They have no choice but to surrender to this new power, hoping beyond hope Mario will be victorious once more. Let us hope SMBZ's reboot has something like THIS in it!
