Allan, thanks again for gathering info on these truly obscure GA books. It's nice to see ones I've never seen pop-up in market and bought by hard-core enthusiasts. On Pep Comics, I wondered why it doesn't depict cover as a "bondage" cover. I guess placing a woman's neck in a metal vise grip isn't like binding her wrists/waistline with a loose rope/string. 😂🤔 Thanks 👍

A quand notre tour has one other sale, a 9.2 in 2016 sold for $2629. So this recent sale is huge. The Jay Scott Pike Showcase 79 is an homage to an iconic photo of Marilyn Monroe, except Pike reversed and mirrored it. The one leg kicking up gives it away. Nice to see Lovers 49 is still deservedly hot. Love the lighthouse placed between them. The Blue Ribbon 21 showcases a hot trend in comics. Horror prior to Pre Code Horror. Also see Our Flag Comics 5, Green Hornet Comics 8, Silver Streak Comics 15 and Mystic Comics 7.

That Homer Cobb is slightly larger than most golden age comics. It makes storage a challenge. Some of those Atlas romance books are insanely great. And impossible to find.

I actually have it in my collection. I had searched for a long time to get it. I was surprised when I saw it sell recently.

I was going to try and buy the Homer Cobb book but I’m going on a 2 week vacation and didn’t want it to get mailed while I was away. Great book. I’ve seen it go up around twice a year . Next time

if anyone collects WW2 era golden age, i have a Terry and the Pirates - Adventure of the Ruby of Genghis Khan - 1941 Libby's Juice Radio mail-in only. If anyone knows anyone interested in something like that. Super limited census. It came mailed to the kid folded in half horizontally (!!!) and taped together. Unique take on delivering comics :) it's a great book. Slabbed it , 5.0. Let me know if anyone knows someone that hunts that sort of thing/IP/era.

Jo-Jo Comics #17 CBCS 6.0 just sold dor $1050 in auction at mycomicshop, so I think the 7.5 for 2k was too high. Some of these Heritage bidders dont seem aware of anything outside of Heritage, I've noticed on many occasions.
