So much THIS!! :D As a child of the 70s, I watched Super Friends since the first season. I loved the show, but when Challenge Of The Super Friends debuted, I couldn't have been happier!! FINALLY the League was battling their actual foes, not just invading aliens, rescuing kids from caves/fires/floods or just random generic baddies!! Super Friends was always the center of my Saturday morning TV viewing. Will always love this show. :)

As author of the Ultimate SuperFriends Companion books, I have to point out that there are actually a total of 208 episodes. The 109 count must be a total of episodes in term of hours. But I totalled the total count by segments. This is why the SuperFriends is the longest running DC animated series. I counted all episode segments in all formats and did this repeatedly before putting this info in my books. I counted up all 60 minute, 30 minute, 15 minute and 7 minute segments. But there you have it. 109 hours, but 208 segments. Long live the SuperFriends!!

Without Super Friends, Batman TAS, Superman TAS and Justice League/Justice League Unlimited wouldn't have been made.

Always will be one of my all time favorite cartoons !

Never missed an episode. Saturday morning was great watching The Superfriends. Loved it. One of my favorite cartoons of all time. I am now 57 years old and I still love The Superfriends.

It still is a great show. The wonder twins are my favorite.

The Galactic Guardians episode that does Batman's origin, I think it's called "The Fear", was brilliant for its time. That thing is essentially the predecessor of Batman The Animated Series.

You forgot to mention Cyborg when he was introduced in Galactic Guardians.

This was my first time doing a super hero cartoons and I've been hooked ever since

Actually, as I understand it, it was 'shortly thereafter", but the video doesn't properly explain why. The Super Friends (Season 1) debuted in 1973 and ran from September through December. It was then aired in reruns through 1974 and cancelled. However, the network put season 1 back on the air as reruns in 1976, breaking the hour-long episodes into 30 minute episodes, airing "part 1" and continuing with "part 2" the following week. When they did this, the show became a hit and was renewed for the 1977 season, but revamped as "The All New Super Friends Hour".

'Shortly after' is September 1977 - 4 years later. Actually, as it is understood. Does placing uneven quotes around 'shortly thereafter" give the term a new cosmic Gleek-like meaning known only to you? 4 years is a long time.

Wendy, Marvin, and Wonderdog, is the biggest disgrace to the history of Superfriends. Those 2 straight episodes were something I skipped every Thursday and Friday. They were one of the earliest examples of pure WOKEISM, Liberalism, and the cult of Climate Change, which is total BS.
