SUPER FIXIE - My BMC TrackMachine TR01 Bike Breakdown

In this video I break down all the components on my BMC TrackMachine TR01. This is my ridiculously aero track back from the manufacturer BMC. This frameset has been ridden to hour records and even shown up in Olympic Track Cycling for the Swiss Team.
I coupled the raw carbon TrackMachine TR01 frameset with a beautiful set of tubular Walker Brother's wheels. I have a 5 spoke front carbon tubular wheel paired with Walker Brother's signature rear disc. This rear disc weighs only 650g making it extremely light and responsive.
The rest of the bike is all custom as well, I have an Affinity Chainring coupled with a ROTOR ALDHU Modular Aero Crankset.

Highly recommend trying it out if you ever get the opportunity. Even if you have to travel to give it a try it’s worth the mini vacation 🤘🏼

Such a sick bike. I have a black All-City Thunderdome with really similar colors: all black components except gold chain and GP5000 cream walls.

Dude I looked up the All-City, DOPE bike. The black on tan walls is 😮💨 🤌🏼 I used to be a tan wall hater too but I think the all black really makes em pop

Thanks! I’ve found Facebook Marketplace has a really solid Track Buying/Selling Group that has allowed me to pickup some key components, also. Everything new is SUPER backlogged.
Nice bike, great review! A quick question if I may. Which Walker Bros disc wheel are you using at 680g? Looking at their current website, all their track discs are 1000g+. Cheers

Yo! Looking back at my order sheet it looks like the REVO Tubular Track Disc. Maybe I said this in error. Gonna watch the video back and try and figure out what I meant. I didn’t say 1,680g did I? 😬 my bad if I was wrong here. Whoops.

Thanks, my dude! I need to start running the disc on the road 😆 It’s calculated from a calculator I have on my phone or I use charts. There’s a formula but it’s a pain so charts are the answer.

Basically its your chainring divided by you back sprocket multipled by your back wheel. Most back wheels are 29 inch. So if he's running a 60 tooth chainring with a backsprocket of say 15. Then its (60/15)×29 = 116 inch.

Hahah I usually run like 97” actually so 61x17 for mass start racing like that. If it’s fast and we have a big field and I need a high torque kick instead of a spin up I’ll run 61x16 😊
In an elimination race whats you max power and roughly whats the avg power nice bike btw Oh and are you like an power racer in velodrome? Thx hehe

Yo! Really just depends. If I’m setting pace toward the front I’ll sit around 350W at 155-160lbs (72kg ish). If I’m sort of ‘playing the devil’ from the back sometimes I’ll have to wind it up pretty big and hit like 900-1000W. If I make it to the end of the elimination and sprint all out I’ve seen close to my max at 1200-1300W. But my average really depends on how many people in the field. You can hide in the back and do 150W but your spikes and NP will be way up because you’re fighting every lap to stay in. Yeah it comes around the front of the bike instead of through the steerer. It’s got two nuts to preload and hold it in place instead of a standard expansion plug or whatever. Probably should have shown more detail
