I never bother to comment on any of the production tutorials I've watched, but I've just got to say... Devvon you're incredible. These videos are the most informative, quality, game-changing explanations I've ever watched. And not only are they full of great advice, but they show that you're a really humble dude who genuinely enjoys sharing what he's learned. Thank you for what you're doing and please don't stop!

Hey Devvon. I learned this recently from Bobby Owsinki. He does the same thing but in addition he EQ's the parallel track by cutting below 600k and boosting around 8k to 12k. I did it on a female vocal and it blew me away. I listened to it in my car and it was like she was literally singing in my car. Amazing trick.

How do you keep from having a ton of floor noise when squashing? I turn my central air off, fridge, everything that could possibly make noise but still end up with pretty bad floor noise that becomes audible when blending in that squashed compression
