man your muddy vocals sound better than my final mix 🤣 been playing with subtractive EQ for a while but it kinda makes things even worse most of the times for me (voice starts sounding too robotic / radio like / has too much / little treble). practice makes perfect i guess, thanks a lot for the video (love your music by the way)

Wish I seen this sooner but aye it’s all apart of learning especially in the music career. I greatly appreciate your videos my guy. I use allot of your techniques and guides to get the results I want. I wish you had more subs cause you definitely deserve it! Plus this is the first video I commented on. Could you make a video on how to equalize your vocals with the beat so one track is not overlapping another as well for back end vocals for that special sound? I can quite figure it out. I’m professional on mobile editing but got a PC and it’s heck of a lot different than I expected it my guy. Especially for recording vocals I can’t get my normal sound I do on mobile. Because the way the music daws on PC completely processes it in such a different manner you have to be more Keen and harder on your vocal tracks than you do on mobile. It’s just spot of different factors and I would love to learn more. Thank you!

Yo big thanks and props to you for all the information you give on mixing and mastering on KZread. Your advice has done wonders for me. A video on mixing things miscellaneous things like a beat tag, chants, crashes, open hats, percs, risers and other fx's, or even audio of some person speaking which is apart of the song (not vocals) would be great! Also a video on mixing sample based melodies for example from soundtracks (the type you download from youtube) and how to make them fit with vocals and drums being their already mixes and mastered. Those are some suggestions on video ideas that's love to see. Thanks again!

So I was following all your techniques and I ended up having to scrap the project because I realized I didn’t properly gain stage, I was clipping on s many tracks and I had no idea because my post fader didn’t say so. A video on gain staging and pre fader metering would help a lot of people out including me, how you managing your overall levels for your tracks before and during the mixing process when you add plugins to not clip also you said you used a limited while mixing, so how you level match that with your reference track or general monitoring levels for when mixing to not be tricked by loudness or accidentally come in too hot like I did lmao. Long one but I feel this is important

I record in my bedroom, minor acoustic treatment (microphone blue bird sl). Bro you do exactly what I do, but I learned this technique on my own. I make the subtract bands a little thicker to take out more bad frequencies, but be careful not to take out too much it will make your vocals too thin. mainly have bad frequencies between 300-600hz / 800-1000hz / 2000-3200hz & 6000-8000hz

Another official vid! 🔥 Good shit! I kinda have had some issues I'm kind of stuck on and that I cant find much info on. A vid by you would be phenomenal. 1 is that I literally have the voice of Ja Rule and Mufasa from Lion King 😂 you should do a video on mixing VERY very muddy vocals, with some heavy harshness. I be thinking that my vocal too "wide and thick", pause, at times n makes it difficult to sit on the beat properly. Maybeeee make the tutorial with 1 of my songs? 🤔😎 I dont think ive seen 1 tutorial anywhere on a very bad vocal. I know recording it over is the best way to go, but alot of people may not be able to. Also maybe a vid about beginner mistakes such as over saturating the vocal with plugin after plugin.. Also, a video that breaks down Auxs, buses n sends would be awesome.. thank bro, keep coookin!!

It works even much better with a dynamic eq such as Fabfilter ProQ 3. This way the frequencies get notched down only when it gets louder than a certain threshold. An even quicker way is to just use Oeksound's Soothe2, which automatically and instantly determines which frequencies to dynamically turn down. Slap it on, turn the knob to taste, you're done!
