This video was wonderful! In the regular Easy French videos the people are speaking way too fast for most beginners to understand. Speaking slowly in this video shows us how the liaisons (?) make the words sound different when they are spoken together, but we can still understand them. Please do more of these!

The slow speed is great because it gives you time to read the words and say them out loud while the people in the video are talking. I think that's a good way to learn pronounciation and to remember words. I really appreciate this channel, Easy Spanish has helped me a ton!

I was outside a supermarket this afternoon and a little white girl left her mom and came to me. I am black. She must have been drawn to my hair style I guess. She must have been about four or five years old. She engaged me in a conversation. I understood everything she said and she understood everything I said. Kids don`t begin with grammar. Kids pick up the language naturally by listening and picking up something from every person they come across. If you want to be a professor you need the grammar but for everyday conversation and interaction, grammar is unnecessary. Nobody needs 5 years in order to speak a foreign language. Everything today is about profit. A bit of grammar does not hurt, though!

Um an fyi: learning with grammar does help. The conjugations of être were the first things I learnt, and it has helped me tremendously. Children can learn languages through immersion because they are going through a mental development phase when their brain is constantly picking up the things around them. At older ages though, a logical approach mixed with immersion helps.

If this video was targeted towards children, I'd agree. However, I think this format is better for people who already know a whole language and just need to learn vocabulary and could go back to fine tune the grammar. Most people will understand your broken gramma any how. :P
