The only way this could have been more toxic is if they had a radar cruiser or another smolensk or something just as toxic as smolensk.

Boats? Ships? My understanding is how they heel (lean) in a turn. Ships lean outwards; boats lean inwards, like aircraft. So subs, which sortof "fly" using plane control surfaces in water.... are boats. They heel into a turn while underwater. On the surface though - they are ships?? Anyhow subs are "under-sea-boats" or U-boats.

The only people in the US Navy that call a submarine a ship are sailors that sail only on the surface (myself included as I was in the aviation side and sailed on carriers) - no self-respecting submariner would ever call a submarine a ship, rather only a boat, despite the fact that a submarine meets all the requirements of being a ship. ;-)

Monkey has it wrong, in the era the game is played in subs where ‘boats’. They have since been reclassified by the navy as ships, due to increase in size and number of crew.

Just a suggestion - can you increase the video quality for youtube? I see a lot of artefacts from low bitrate encoding. Also, 1440p resolution would be awesome :) cheers!

The Smolensk has a fast rate of fire, but I discovered I can double your DPM by watching on 2x speed.

Can put a boat on a ship, can't put a ship on a boat is how someone explained to me. Royal Navy has a definition something about how vessels are rated as Ships of the Line of Battle dating back to sail power.

In EU the difference between a ship and a boat, is ruffly 60 ft (metric system). So 60 ft and above is a ship, and anything under 60 is a boat. It has absolutely nothing with its carry weight, or if its leaning to either side when turning. Its simply the size of the vessel. Its basic knowledge, for most captains or deckmen.

I'll agree that submarines (u-boats) are part of warships, but to implement them, why was hydro and sonar not done to find them? It can be used to find ships in smoke, but not underwater?

At least they nerfed the heck outta subs. I used to average 145k in my balao. Now I’ve been getting slapped every time I sonar and have a hard time getting good damage even if I survive

No Monkey, a sub is not a ship, it is a boat. Submariners will argue that point day in and day out. Submariners will also refer only to their sub as a boat, everything is a *TARGET* .

Boats are smaller than Ships. Boats don't usually have over 1200 people working on them, Ships on the other hand. You would need to airlift the ship onto land to burn it to the ground, send it to the bottom on the other hand.

The difference between a boat and a ship is a boat is for inland navigation like lakes, rivers etc and ships are ocean going vessels. Source.trust me bro lol.

The one I heard is that a ship can carry a boat, like a BB has launches that it can carry, the BB is the ship & the launch is a boat. But is WoWs all ships are also botes sometimes too.

As i know, simple explanation from sailor is sub is a boat coz they dont or cant carry a boat Any water transportation. as long as its can carry a boat (especially lifeboat), its a ship Well this might true or not but that sailor just give simple explanation for "why submarine is not a ship?"

A friend of mine who was in the navy on submarines told me that generally speaking, size counts. As you say, a Ship can carry a sub, a sub cannot carry a ship.

Subs are actually not boats. Since WG put subs in, then they need to include the American Torpedo Boat or PT boats

If the sub is larger/longer than 60ft, then it is correctly called a ship. Even tho many would probably call the sub a boat, its not accurate to call it a boat. Unless its smaller than 60 ft.
